First of all, I received Heather's ornament for our personal exchange today! Its so pretty, I don't think I've ever seen the design.

Tonight I finished stitching (and finished) my last (I promise its the last!) monogram!

"My Pick Is Broken, Man I Must of Rocked It Hard"

Yes, this post's title is a little strange isn't it?

Last night Christin and I went to the National Arts Center to see Matthew Good, another Canadian band I quite enjoy, this is the third time I've seen him in concert. As usual I can't go to an event without running into someone I know and/or students from work. Of course I ran into a few students, LOL we were even sitting in the same row.
Anyhow the post's title is something Matt Good said and I thought it was just hilarious. He was talking about one thing and then matter of factly says "Oh my pick is broken, man I must of rocked it hard". I have to say he has some interesting points of view LOL.
Christin and I have another concert adventure coming up, next Sunday the 20th we're going to see Three Days Grace at Scotiabank Place.

The opening band was Mother, Mother from Vancouver. The were.... odd. I think that's the best way to put it. (in the photo above)

Another ornament exchange arrived at its destination this week! This exchange was with Sadie, and the ornament had to make its way across the pond. I stitched this up at the retreat I went to in November. Its stitched over one.

Today I finished up my last ornament happy dance (the Gazette finish) and gave it as a gift to a friend from work who is off on maternity leave. We got together for a great lunch today, and I got to cuddle her new baby Ella, she is so sweet.

Awhile ago I won Becky's Birthday draw on her blog and I got this great parcel in the mail this week! Heinzit's Rudolph, a Christmas fat quarter, bead embroidery needles (which I needed!), and some mini altoids. Thanks Becky that was so fun to get in the mail!

More Mini Cottages and a Photo Hunt

I had a nice evening at home tonight after hitting the gym. It felt really odd not running off to Taekwon-Do tonight but on the other hand it was nice to get in a few hours of stitching!

So here's where Mini Cottages 6 stands as of tonight.

I keep meaning to share this! Late last week I got the cutest Christmas card from Judy with these beautiful hand dyed fibers! Thank you Judy!!! It was a great surprise!
Now onto a PhotoHunt! The theme for this one is "Plastic", boy this one was a challenge for me going through my photos from the last year.

These Chinese Lanterns I found on the ground behind one of the buildings in the Chinese Gardens at the Montreal Botanical Gardens. They were made of plastic.

Taekwon-Do at the Santa Clause Parade

Today was the Santa Clause parade in the town where I go to Taekwon-Do. It was a cool and mostly sunny day. I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Did you know that Santa has a 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-Do?

The whole parade gang! I'm hiding top back right.
The kids were so well behaved and sang Christmas Carols the whole route!

All smiles!

Me and my buddy Kyler!

I've worked a little bit on Mini Cottages 6 this weekend and here is where its at!

Is Life More Fun As A Blonde?

I guess, I'll get to find out! Today my Mum and I spent a little (well a lot actually) Mother/Daughter girlie time at my hairdresser's today! Mum got a cut and colour, and I got highlights. I have complete trust and faith in my hairdresser, Azra! It always makes her day when I let her pick the style or colour! She wouldn't even tell me what colour she was putting in until it was said and done!

I quite like it! Thanks for a great day Mum!

I've spent the rest of my evening finishing up my December ornament and trying to climb my way up the scoreboard on Bejewlled Blitz! I was too far down for my tastes!

Tomorrow I get to be part of the Christmas Parade, my Taekwon-Do school has a float. I really was hoping for at least one day at home this weekend, but I'm sure once I'm there I'll have fun!

December Goals & Photo Hunt

November Review
Stitch 1 Ornament - Yes!
Work on Tour - Yes!

December Goals
Stitch 1 Ornament
Finish Mini Cottages 6
Work on Tour

I kept my November goals very simple due to the fact that I had so many stressful things going on, and that certainly helped! I completed my goals, no problem. December's goals aren't too complicated either, but just for the sheer fact I want to finish Mini Cottages, get a huge chunk done on Tour, and the ornament I got a start on that tonight!

I feel now that all the crazy-ness that was November has all come and gone (Live & Silent Auction night I was involved in and BB testing) that my life is finally back in control! When I stepped on the scale this AM I was happy to see I'm back down 2lbs (I put on 2.5lbs last week), so I know I'm on my way back down to my goal weight. I already feel more in focus with my food choices, which is so important to get my weight back down! Tonight I had a meeting at work at 7pm so instead of heading home or just wasting a few hours I met up with Christin and we went to the gym together! Boy, did it ever feel great to get some weight training in! I haven't been to the gym since I started focusing on my Black Belt testing! Once upon a time, you never would of heard me say "boy I missed the gym!"

Now for the fun part, Photo Hunt! This theme is "Painted", the one picture that popped into my mind was this one that I took at the end of the summer in Montreal. We were walking around in the Old Port and in an alley of artists and artisans I came across the gentleman working on his paintings. I just had to photograph him, he had so much character!
