Ornament Happy Dance

I have an unexpected happy dance!  I had an opportunity today while I was out and about to work on the ornament I've been carrying around in my purse for some time... and such emergencies when I need to keep busy!  Do you keep a little something with you to stitch at all times?

This another of Sharon's (aka Daffycat) cute reindeer freebies!  As usual when you actually sit down to work on one of these they work up very quickly!  I have one more reindeer left in this series to stitch.

I'm hoping to make some good progress on the big purple egg this weekend.  I'm hoping to wrap up some backstitching and start on the last few pages of the chart that contain the gold filigree stand that the egg rests on.

  4. Great ornament finish. I tend to keep a book in my bag for those out and about moments, maybe I should be taking some stitching instead

  7. Love the reindeer finish and what a great idea, I don't normally have something small with me I normally have a book or two lol and funny I find it eaiser to stick my knitting in my bag, I guess I'm always afraid my stitching will get destroyed lol

  8. Super cute finish, Dani! Great job. I need to get back on the ornament wagon before the weather changes and Christmas is the last thing on my mind.

    Have a great weekend!

  11. I usually do! I carry around a big grandma bag instead of a typical purse and usually have a stitchy something in there to work on if I get stuck waiting :-)

    VERY cute reindeer!

  15. The very first of the reindeer I designed was just before Christmas to post as a freebie. I wanted a little, very-quick-to-stitch one since it was so close to the holiday. I never dreamed they would become SO popular!

I'm glad my freebie gave you something fun to work on!

  20. Very Cute! I usually keep my Kindle with me when I'm waiting. I don't see well enough to stitch without my lamp/magnifier.

  26. Such a great finish! I'd like to stitch up these reindeer for myself, they would look great all together on a tree.
    Best wishes.
