WIPocalypse for June

We are now into the 6th month of the year and half way to the end of the world I suppose ... we'd better hurry up and get stitching!!!!

Here's what I've managed to work on/get accomplished since the May report.

The Accolade, its been moving along nicely! Since the last report I've finished page 2 and I've managed to make my way all the way to the far right hand side of the design!  Yay this is as wide as its going to get!

Seasonal Mandalas - Spring has been moving along beautifully!  Before this report was due I managed to finish all the outlining for this current season and I've started adding a little more colour!  Its working up nicely!!!

I've put a few more stitches into Snow White, but you can't really tell from last month!

I've finished this letter D which is going into my friendship quilt

I've also stitched up this ornament, which I have no designer info for.

There is an exchange I can't share with you as well.

So that's what stitching I've managed to complete during the last moon cycle.

  1. Dani, everything looks beautiful and it looks like you got a lot done on Accolade. The colors are so pretty. Congrats on making it over to the right again. With HAEDs, that is so much fun when it happens! :) hugs, di

You've been busy. Those mandelas are stunning.

They remind me of when we used to color as kids and would outline everything in a thick, black line.

  14. Hi Dani,

Lots of stitching going on at your place ... well
at least it is when you have some free time in
    your busy schedule.

I have seen a couple of you stitching on those
seasonal Mandalas and they look like lots of
fun to work and they're gorgeous when they're
done. Snow White looks beautiful on that dark
blue fabric. Love the contrast. The Accolade
sure looks impressive ... and the thought of all
those tiny stitches makes me shudder!! I don't
have the patience for such detailed work.

Congrats on running and finishing the Ottawa
race in May. I'm full of admiration for your
dedication and determination ... and think
you did pretty darn good time wise.

    Cheers!

  25. Awesome progress Dani. I love the color you're doing your Snow White on. It's beautiful. And The Accolade is looking great. Grats on getting all the way across the top. (I haven't managed that on any of my HAEDs yet, sigh... Oh well, just give me time.) Can't wait to see your exchange!!

  26. There's some great stitching going on here! I can help with the ornie - it's called Huit Cerfs and the chart can be found here:

    http://www.pcbdijon.com/cadeaux/anciens.htm

It's a repro of an old design from 1618, the original of which is in the V&A museum. I have a lovely book with a photo of the original and was thinking of charting it myself. Then a week later I stumbled across the site with the chart on! Serendipitous indeed LOL.
