Big Happy Dance and WIPocalypse

Its done!  Its done!  Tonight I finally put the final stitches into my Autumn Mandala which means my Seasonal Mandalas are done!  I can finally Happy Dance this entire piece!

Seasonal Mandalas
c2011 Ink Circles
Stitched on 40ct linen using DMC

Despite all of the black outlining this has been a lovely piece to stitch.  I've enjoyed watching the outlines take shape, and the colours shading inside so beautifully.

 Winter

Stitching on this piece kinda took me back to my childhood.  How many of us so carefully coloured inside the lines of our colouring books with our box of Crayola Crayons or Prismacolour Colour Pencils?  This is just the grown up stitchy version!

Spring

Finishing up this last mandala means that I'm down to my last few projects of my January Crazy Challenge, the 15 pieces I started in the first 15 days of the month.  All that leaves for me to stitch up before the year is out are: TW's Sun Dragon, TW's Delightful Dragon Fob, and The Silver Lining's The Big Red... which definitely won't get finished at all!

 Summer

 Fall

I still owe you a WIPocalypse report!  The official date for the WIPocalypse was a week ago, August 31st.  There's been a couple of reasons why I held back on my report!  I was of course away having a wonderful girl's stitchy weekend at Kathy's, school started this past week which has left me exhausted, and well of course I wanted to have this Happy Dance!!!!

I didn't work on too many different projects since the last report.  I worked a little bit on The Accolade.

I finished up the Summer Mandala and of course I've finished Autumn which means all four seasons are complete!!!

  11. The Mandalas are gorgeous. And I definitely look forward to seeing your TW pieces. I don't recognize the titles: are they new pieces that I have overlooked or class pieces that only attendees had access to? Though very far from a finish,I am quite happy with my own progress on TW's Woodland Angel Christmas Stocking but I am always casting about for my next TW project ... and there will always be "another" TW project on my agenda. I know you understand since you seem to enjoy her designs as much as I do!

I loved colouring in designs like that as a child. Tell Catherine I remember Spirograph! Does she (or do you) remember Altair design books?
