I am counting the days to my 2015 Dominican Experience trip, this year will be my 6th. I think this long, cold, dreary and all around crappy winter has gotten me down and I can't wait to get some real sunshine! The beach is probably not the most appropriate picture the trip is so much... but its white sands, palm treas and azure ocean that keeps me going! I leave a week Saturday! Cirque Des Coeurs is READY to go!
Tic-Tac-Love - Freebie
Simply Chic Needlearts

My next seasonal small start is Green + White by Bent Creek... and this one I have all of the necessary floss in my stash!
Finally... Page 10 is finished on The Accolade!!! As you can see I've moved into page 11, the 2nd to last page! I didn't think I'd ever see the day.

Can we come with you?lol
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching:)
Tic-Tac-Love is SO pretty - just love the colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteYay for Accolade! Looks like you have a little colour before the grey again.
So envious about the trip, but enjoy it!
Congrats on the cute finish Dani. The Accolade is amazing. Her hair looks so real. Cute new start.
ReplyDeleteLinda
It must be nice to have a trip like that to look forward too.
ReplyDeleteThe tic tac love is a cute little seasonal finish.
And of course Accolade is looking stunning!
Great stitching Dani, The Accolade is looking wonderful
ReplyDeleteAccolade is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteTic-Tac-Love is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteHaving watched your progress on The Accolade, I am enabled to finally start a huge multi-page chart from my own stash, The Tangle Faerie, by HAED. When I ordered it, I foolishly thought from the model photo that it would probably be about the size of TW's dragon in a tea cup design. Imagine my horror when the chart had over 15 pages. But your steady 10x10 block progress is inspiring, enabling and encouraging. Or maybe I am deluding myself. I wonder if I have your patience or even enough time left to stitch it. I will consider it my retirement project, started just a few months early.
ReplyDeleteI'd be counting the days, too! I think all of us in the northern climates need a bit of sun and surf right about now :)
ReplyDeleteYour little Tic Tac Love is so cute--great color choices. Keep up the great work on The Accolade--we're all rooting for you!
Great stitching update Dani. Not surprised you are looking forward to your trip - looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteTake us with you! I can't wait for my own vacation, but mine isn't until April. I love those shades of green in your new WIP.
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful smalls and very nice progress on Accolade.
ReplyDeleteI often switch threads these days, I just take my box of overdyed threads and try to match them to the picture of the chart or to my own imagination. Usually works great. Just like on your small heart piece.
... and I can easily understand that you are looking forward to getting away from the cold and snow to some warmer place.
ReplyDeleteYour wok on Accolade is amazing!! It is gorgeous. I have enjoyed watching your progress over the years. Enjoy the sunshine and warmth in the DR!!!
ReplyDeletelove this finish .. do you know if the freebie is still somewhere on line? or could I get a copy from you? I love reading about your Dominican experiences
ReplyDeleteVery jealous of your trip! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time in the sun. I'm not a summer person but I am craving some warmer weather at the moment.
ReplyDeleteYour smalls are lovely and as for Accolade, wow! It must feel like the end is in sight...
Yay for Accolade! Gosh, How long has it been since you started it?
ReplyDeleteYou've had a brutal winter! I'm so glad you will get some sunshine real soon. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching and well done on the finish!
ReplyDeleteAfter all that cold weather I'm not surprised you are looking forward to your DR trip!

Cute finish!
ReplyDeleteYour so close on the accolade now! :D I know you have said before this isn't a HAED, where is this version from?
ReplyDeleteLovely stitching update!!
ReplyDeleteEven I'm going to do a happy dance when you finish The Accolade. It's been great watching it grow over time. :)
ReplyDeleteI just The Accolade. So close to finishing as well. Hope your trip is going well.
ReplyDeleteTic Tac turned out wonderfully, what a fun project and I love the beads you picked to finish it with. Accolade is looking fantastic! Congrats on a page finish and moving to the next one, the stitching and confetti is so involved, it's quite an accomplishment, this will be awesome when completed.
ReplyDeleteWow! You have gotten quite a bit done. Looks fabulous! You are into the home stretch!
