Latest Project and PhotoHunt

I was going to pull out Tour Des Marques and work on that but when I saw I only need one more HD to hit 55 for 2009 I pulled out Lettres A Mon Chat by Isabelle Vauthier instead. I figure this is fastest stitch I have on the go. If I think I'm not going to finish it by New Year, I'll have a little ornament kitted up ready to go instead!

Today was certainly a day to stay indoors! We had hoped to go out shopping and hit some of the Boxing Day sales (need a new purse), but the freezing rain kept us in. We did loose power for about 2 hours, and as it was getting dark some of our trees came down. I'll try to get some pictures of the damage tomorrow when its light.

This PhotoHunt theme is : Book(s)

Students reading in my library. I love seeing the kids like this!

Good luck with reaching your target, I can only dream of having 55 happy dances in one year! You've made such a great start on Lettres, I'm sure you're in with a good chance.

  2. You really completed a lot this year! I love your current project. I wonder what book are the girls reading. They seemed so concentrated. I hope not too bad damage done and will keep a look out for the pictures.

  7. That photo is a delight! As a former English literature teacher, it warms my heart to see any member of the next generation reading from a good old-fashioned book. Computers are wonderful, downloads are great, kindles and nooks are convenient ... but there is absolutely nothing like the feel of a good book in one's hands

  8. I have three children whose noses are constantly in a book! I also think there is no other sight to warm a book lover's heart than that of children and young adults reading a real book. I am glad you stayed safe through your storm Dani and hope your tree damage isn't too bad.

Sorry to hear about the ice storm. Snow is lovely, but ice .... just dangerous. Glad you are all safe and hope there wasn't too much damage.

    We're expecting rain --- again!
