February TUSAL and Happy Dance!

I was away on the February 21st which was the official TUSAL date, but I don't like to be behind, here's the TUSAL for this month!

I did get a lot of stitching done one the plane, more so on the way home than the way down.  Why on the way home?  Well first we were delayed leaving La Romana our plane was 40 minutes late coming in.  Then once we were in the air we found out that our 3.5 hour flight was going to be about 4.5 as the US Military had closed down the airspace we would of normally travelled through for some sort of testing.  Sigh.  So I stitched my heart out!  When we arrived in Toronto, our plane we were supposed to get on was yet again late.  In the end we didn't get home until after 1:30am when we should of gotten back at 11:30 PM.  But I did stitch.

Honey, I'm Home!

Just a quick post to let you know I made it back safe, if not very late from this Year's Dominican Experience trip. I'll be sharing that with you in the near future.

I've also been told I missed the TUSAL I'll make sure to update you on that tomorrow!!

Wheels and Wings!

Life has been very busy, thus the blogging has been well sparse.

I've given my old car to my Nephew, I'm now officially the best Aunt ever!

First of all, my car the "Blue Bomber" as it has been fondly called has been acting up a little bit... nothing serious but it was time for a change...

Yesterday I picked up my BRAND NEW 2012 Kia Rio 5!!!  I am so in love with my new car.  Isn't it cute???  I have new fangled things like Bluetooth, I can hook up my iPhone to the stereo, power windows, power locks, and keyless remote entry, air conditioning and oh the luxury... heated seats!!!

Its a shame that I didn't have it a little sooner... because tomorrow I'm taking off for the Dominican Republic where yet again I'm taking a group of grade 11&12 students on a 3rd World Experience... this year 16 of them!  I'm just about packed!  I'll be back in a week.

Oh and here's a poor picture of my Eggie which has seen much love lately!  Sadly I ran out of purple silk, but its been ordered and I hope it'll be waiting for me when I get home!

See you soon!

Photo Hunt, Crazy Finish & a Little Stash to Top it All Off!

I am a day late and a dollar short with this week's PhotoHunt!  The theme is "flat"

This photo was taken  in November of 2011 when my head instructor was testing for his Masters in Taekwon-Do.  During his self defense skit, he knocked my friend Jason "flat" on the floor.

I've not really had any time at all for stitching this week.  I spent Monday-Wednesday nights at the dojang, I also went to Weight Watchers (where I just can't get my act together, I gained 1.5 this week), Thursday I had a lovely visit with a friend and started a little shopping on the way home that night... which I will tell you about when I get my purchase (don't have it yet).  I was also back in at Taekwon-Do on Saturday (after wrapping up my shopping) to assist with the written and physical test for 3 black belt candidates.  Doesn't all of that make you feel as exhausted as I did by the time Friday night rolled around?

Today I decided not to pull Enchantment of Winter out right away, I'm a little tired of it at the moment I think.  So instead I worked on one of my Crazy Challenge pieces which I managed to finish today!  So that's 3 Crazy Finishes down... 12 to go!

During December I participated in Becky's Ornament Challenge and I was the "International Winner"!  I won a $25 gift certificate to 123 Stitch, I finally received my purchases earlier this week!  I am now participating in the Winter Challenge and the above Happy Dance will sure fit the bill!

I was planning on sharing progress on EOW and Accolade with you but I just got the reminder that the full moon is on Tuesday which means I'll have a WIPocalypse update for you in a few short days!  So it can wait for now.
