Number 5... Number 8

I think right now the numbers 5 and 8 are my favourite numbers!

First, the number 5... that would be the page I just finally finished on Paradigm Lost! Yay, this latest large motif felt like it took forever. This one measures 6.5 inches across, its a big one, and fairly densely stitched. I've actually made a start into page 6 which doesn't have a lot for me to do on it, hopefully it'll be done in short order (my goal is to be half done by the time I return to work next week).

Next, the number 8... that would be the size jeans I bought yesterday! Wahootie, a size 8! Now not all size 8's are created equal not every pair of pants fit at that size but these ones do and they're mine! I also stepped on the scale tonight at Weight Watchers... amazingly I managed to loose 2.5 lbs over the holidays! Wahooo 14.5 lbs to goal! So, that proves you can enjoy your Christmas treats and dinners and still loose.

Yesterday (before going shopping) we met up with Christin for lunch and to exchange Christmas presents. Christin as usual really spoilt me! She got me a HUGE pack of Sharpie markers in all kinds of cool colours, a dragon calendar, two Ice Dragonlet figurines, dragon earrings, a Celtic cross pendant, floss-a-way bags, a Dragon Dreams Chart, and a fat quarter of 32ct Queen Ann's Lace Joblean. Christin is a huge movie buff so we got her a bunch of DVD's that were on her wish list. I also stitched her a few things.

First you'll remember this recent happy dance, it was perfect for Christin.

PL is looking good. That's a lot of stitching. I am still trying to get back to my stitching, but life is still getting in my way!
Size 8! YAY! WooHoo! That is great! I signed up for WW online the day before yesterday. I will be actually starting it today or tomorrow. I have to get all my foods ready to go and couldn't get the the grocery store. It'll happen, you are my Role Model!
Neat gifts. It all sounds like so much fun.

I really enjoy tracking your progress on Paradigm Lost ... it is such a fabulous piece and your stitching is lovely.
Also, congratulations on your weight loss journey ... maybe you can send some of that good energy to me as I shall be starting a similar journey today with a goal of 80lbs to lose].
Your comment on my blog about not yet having found the right project for your skein of WDW Noel really resonated for me. It is always a joy when you find just the right project for the right colorway. I love my little biscornu done in Noel with its perfectly matching vintage button [amazingly serendiptious, that button & floss combo]. I am currently working on another biscornu [Poisson du Avril] using some Caron Waterlilies Monsoon on some Waterlily 32ct linen ... some things just come together.

Happy New Year's to you and congrats on the size 8! That is super duper! We are going to try WW once again in this house. I had lost 100 lbs on it and then I got married and thought I had to cook loads of calorie laden food.
I have my WW cookbook out and we will start together!

Happy New Year, Dani!

Way to go on the size 8 pants!! I saw you a few years ago at the Creative Sewing and Needlework Festival (I didn't want to weird you out by saying hi, since I don't really "know" you). You didn't seem that big then, so you must be getting close to being a skinny minny now. Good for you!

Happy New Year and congrats on getting down to a size 8. I am envious. I remember when I was a size 8. Hopefully by New Years Eve next year for me???...lol.

Your LK came out great. I was going thru some stash tonight and happened to find that in my pile o' patterns.

And I have to repeat it... I love the colors of your Christmas cactus flowers.

Happy New Year Dani.

Paradign Lost is looking amazing - I'm sure you'll have stitched even more by now! Great news about the jeans, I'm sure in a couple of months you'll have hit your goal and size 8 will become normal.

Congratulations! You are doing so well on your weightloss journey. I'm not sure what a size 8 relates to in UK sizes - how about a photo of you in your new jeans? :o)

Hi Dani,

You've had a phenomenal year,
loosing all that weight and
going back to Taekwon-Do and
the gym, plus all the wonderful
stitching you've finished. Oh,
and your photography classes.
Wonder what will be in 2009??

Your Paradigm is looking amazing
and shows up beautifully in your
photos so it must look a hundred
times nicer in real life.

Love the fob and the "Normal"
piece that you stitched/made up
for Christin. Love the saying
on the Lizzie Kate design. It's
something we all should take to
heart I think.

Hope that in 2009, fingers
crossed, that perhaps we can
finally get together. Now that
would be awesome!!

Best wishes to you and yours for
the New Year. Judy

Congratulations on finishing another page of PL, it looks wonderful. Congratulations too on your progress with Weight Watchers, I'll bet it did feel wonderful to have that size jean fit, what an accomplishment. Sounds like you had a lovely time with Christin. What fun items you got and I'll bet she's having a ball watching the various movies and the scissor fob looks beautiful.
