Just a quick post! I stayed up past midnight to finish up that hated "Top Secret Project" yay! I am so relieved to have it done that its not funny! This project has been too long in the works, I think I started it January or February and kept working on it whenever I could between exchange deadlines... and well my nice March Break trip where I focused on ME!
The good news for my faithful readers (and yes, thank you for being my readers so much, you're the ones that keep me blogging and keep me encouraged when I hit rough patches)... stitching pictures can start again! We're on the cusp of a 4-day weekend (well for me it is I know, for some its a 3 day weekend) and I'm going to do nothing but work on Paradigm Lost. I'll be sure to give you daily updates Friday-Monday!
Now the bad news, this week's weigh in! Not good. I worked hard all week to maintain last weeks 4.5lb loss. Well my body truly rebelled! I GAINED 3.5lbs WTF!!!! Was the first thought that came to my mind. Why did my body rebel? I can think of several reasons...
1. Too much exercise, in the last week I went to the gym once, Taekwon-Do once, Cardio TaeBox once, ran one 5K, and ran two 10K's.
2. I have been one week artificial sweetener free - they weren't agreeing with me anymore
3. I've been off of my migraine medication for a week now (migraine free so far! Yay!)
4. My body isn't happy it went from nice and warm the last while to cold and snow (this one may be a bit of a stretch)
5. I ate all of my daily and weekly points.
6. I had pizza on Sunday (lots of salt!)
So those are my excuses, some are a stretch, some may be legitimate. This week I'm trying to stick to my daily points and only dip into my weekly points if I'm truly hungry (like growling stomach hungry). I'm also going to try to work out moderately, not like a mad woman!
I think the depressing thing is that I woke up Tuesday morning being 6lbs from goal and went to bed 9lbs from goal.
Anyhow, thanks for your continued support, it means so much!
Thanks for your continued

Is it that time of month? I know I went from 25 lb loss to 20 lb loss this week because its that time of month. You'll get the last few down and off no worries there...I'm completely positive that it WILL happen :)
Enjoy your long weekend! And hang in there with the weight loss~~you've done such an incredible job and if you average the last two weigh-ins, you're still losing (weight that is!)
Hang in there Dani, don't think of these last few pesky pounds, think of all the pounds that you have lost from the beginning! Amazing!
Glad you got your nasty stitching done and can now work on the nice stitching :)
Looking forward to see the top secret piece. And your weight will go down, don't worry to much. In the female body hormones play a role as well. And when you come close to your period you will gain weight - which is mainly water weight thank god.
Keep your chin up! You are doing great! I am proud of you and you inspire me!
Glad you got your top secret project done!
Congrats on finishing your secret stitching! And wow you have been exercising like a mad woman. It sounds like that gain is just water weight. I think I have heard your muscles will hold lots of extra water when you have been using them a lot. It will all come off again!! You have done fantastic with your weight loss.
I can so relate to your scale woes. This happens to me almost every other week. As long as I'm at a net loss, I'm okay with it. Keep up the good work!! :)
Can't wait to see your secret project.
It is true that blogging is very encouraging. I really enjoy the comments I receive and the wonderful friends you got to meet through blogging. Thanks for visiting my blog. I will follow your blog too.
Congrats on finishing your secret project. I've missed seeing stitchy pictures. Hang in there with your weight loss. You've done so well and there's bound to be ups and downs. You'll reach your goal soon!
Boy you've got me curious...I can't wait to see the hated top secret FINISHED project!! Hope you have a great weekend working away on PL! I'll be working on my Long Dog too...I'll pretend we are together! Wouldn't it be nice if those last pounds could just melt away? But you've worked so hard and I know you'll do it right with those last pounds as well. Don't get discouraged...get focused and positive.
It was a bad week for my weight loss wise too. Maybe it is the weather in Ontario. :P
Congratulations on getting the secret project done. And yay for stitching something you love over the long weekend!
Well done on finishing the top secret project. Don't worry about those last few pounds, they'll go soon enough, after all you are down over the last fortnight, if not the last week
Have a wonderfully relaxing Easter.
Aw Dani don't worry about it! Whatever you've lost I think I found it somewhere...oh yeah...that's right it keeps following me...it's called my hiney!!!! :-) Hopefully that made you smile. Keep up the good work, it will happen, you're almost there!
you have been doing really well so don't get discouraged.
can't wait to see the secret stitching project ..congrats on getting it finished!
sorry about the weight this week .. but you know you'll lose it again in no time.
Ah hon i'm sorry. But you know next week will be better. You should focus on how far you've come not those little bumps in the road. Glad to hear your secret project is done LOL
Oh no, I would be a bit frustrated about the weight too. You did really work out a lot though and that always makes you so hungry. You are so close now though, you should be proud of yourself!
Can't wait to see stitching pictures!
Congratulations on Your finish !! I can't wait to see it.
Hang in there. Yes it is discouraging, but look at how far you have come and think about how Wonderful you feel now. Then take a deep breath and relax a little and allow yourself to enjoy where you are. Stress will hold that water too.
I just checked on your weight journal and in just 12 months you lost 58lbs. Now think positive 9lbs is just nothing compared to that and you will do it but take it slow gal.
Nice & easy & you WILL do it Dani. :0) It's turned cold here too & all of a sudden I want to eat way more than usual - guess it's our body's natural reaction to want to put fat on to keep us warm.
I am so glad that you are done with that secret project as I can not wait to start seeing your stitching again!!! Sorry bout the weigh in this week but that does happen! Don't get to discouraged!! You have been doing an amazing job and you will continue to do so!!!
It could also be that the scale was a bit off last week OR that you gained muscles with all your sport (remember muscles weight more than fat). I'm sure you will succeed. Ann
