Courtesy of random.org I have picked my two draw winners from my 1,501st post/Birthday celebrations!
#73 Congratulations to Joanne -- Aussie Stitcher!
Joanne has been a long time reader and commenter of my blog so it was lovely to see random pick her comment!
#38 Congratulations to Bette -- Reflections of a Desert Rat!
Which is doubly nice because Bette is also a long time reader AND we got to meet in person back in March, too cool! Thanks Mr. Random!
I've already got in mind what I'm going to stitch you ladies, now just to find the time right!?!
I should make this post a little more colourful with a PhotoHunt! I of course need to get a little caught up from the last month or so. Here's the PhotoHunt from March 26th, the theme was "Cage(d).
This photo was taken this past February during my trip to the Dominican Republic. This one is from the slum Simon Bollivar in the capital Santo Domingo. Not only in the slums do people have bars over their doors in windows but in the influential neighbourhoods as well. In the nicer neighbourhoods its just more ornate! Its something we can't imagine in North America, being caged in your own home to be safe.
I finally hit the over one on Enchantment of Winter. Oh my! Have you ever tried over one on 32ct linen without magnification??? I am so going to go blind. I have my eye on a lovely LED lamp/Magnifier from my favourite NSLNS (Not So Local Needlework Store) Knowledge and Needles.

Congrats to the winners :-)
Although we dont have 'bars' over our doors (over here in Aus either) we do have security screens. Maybe they are just like a fancier set of bars??
What a wonderful surprise, Dani. I can't wait! And I can barely do over 1 on 25 count. Lots of luck with the 32 count!
Congrats to the winners!
Good luck with the over one stitching. Definitely not my favourite thing!
Congrats to the winners. Good luck with the over one stitching. Another great photo hunt picture.
I can't enjoy over one either - I know it gives amazing detail but it always looks so flat to me. My Ottlite is the best thing I've ever bought - the light is so natural and easy on the eyes.
Congratulations to the winners!
I've just done over one on 36 count without magnification ( well only from my glasses!) and that was tough! Good luck with yours!
Wow Dani, that is going to be some task. Let me know how you like the magnifier... I'm thinking I am getting to the point where I need me some of that.
Congrats to the winners!
Congratulations to the winners!
Hope you manage the over one stitching - it will be worth it.
Congrats to the winners! :)
I am working on an over-one stitching project also and I can only work on it for a short while before going bug-eyed as there are a ton of very similar blues in it...thankfully it's a small piece and should be done soon. May the force be with you!
Congrats to the winners! Great picture, Dani!
Well done winners.
urgh over one, I have tried it on black, let's just say It'll take a long time for a HD!!!
I'm doing a sampler over 1 at the mo, the only thing which is over 2 is the straight line border as it would be toooooooo tedious.
It has made me realise the perks of being so short-sighted, (I'm about a -6 or -7). I just take my glasses off and hold it really close! Perfect!
Congrats to the giveaway winners too.
I am so excited to have been a winner in your draw Dani. Thank you so much ((((HUGS))))
Congratulations to the winners! I don't think I'll be trying any over one on 32ct right now. It seems I'm having a hard enough time lately to stitch over two!
Congratulations to your giveaway winners, I'm sure they'll love whatever you stitch for them.
I love over one stitch, but have only done a small project on 32ct.
Congratulations to the winners!
Interesting photo. It does make you think, doesn't it?
Congrats to the winners
