Another WIPless Wednesday

Its Wednesday, and yet again, I don't have a WIP to share with you!

Be Scary - Hats Off To Halloween - 2
Lizzie*Kate
Stitched on 28ct Burnt Papyrus Jubilee from Sugar Maple Fabrics
Stitched with GAST, WDW & DMC

I have another small HD to share with you this week.  Funny enough this little Lizzie*Kate took me all week to stitch up!  I don't know what it is besides the fact that I've just been exhausted and not stayed up late or stitched too much in the evenings.  I also had an on again-off again migraine Friday-Monday (such joy).

The Accolade only got two thread lengths in it this week, so I have really nothing to show you there.

Byzantine Ornaments
Teresa Wentzler

I've got another ornament to share with you from this summer's finishing spree.  This piece I stitched a few years ago, but I finished it up for a Teresa Wentzler smalls exchange on a TW Facebook group.  Its now been received so I can safely share it.  On the disappointing side whoever was assigned as my partner (we were not receiving from the person we were sending to) never followed through.  I have nothing cool to show you that I received.  Exchanges are great, and so much fun, but when someone craps out it just sucks.  It also leaves one feeling a little bitter and not so excited to do another exchange.

This past Friday I packed up my car and headed down for a stitchy-weekend!  I visited with Kathy for probably the last time this year before she heads South for the winter.  On Saturday we got together with Rebecca, Bonnie, Lianne, Lynn, and Trista to first check out the Cataraqui Guild's Merchant Market.  Some shopping was definitely done.  I just bought two charts.

After shopping we spent the rest of the day stitching and chatting at Rebecca's.  We were treated to "Garbage Can Turkey" by Curtis, Rebecca's husband.  It is always so nice to spend a day with like-minded friends.

All I can say is "WOW" I love that TW Ornie!!!
It really sucks that your assigned partner didn't follow through with the exchange.

Your TW ornament is beautiful. Very sad about your partner but you at least have a lovely ornie for your own collection. Looks like a fun time with the ladies!

Great L&K finish! I just stitched both of the halloween charts myself too but haven't gotten around to blogging. Your TW ornie is stunning! So sorry that the exchange fell through. Looks like you all had a wonderful stitching weekend!

Such a loevly new finish, And what a great TW ornament you made for your exchange partner, it is looking gorgeous. BUt so sorry that the person who was to send to you wasn't following through. Such things always spoil the good feeling that you usually have about exchanges.

Great get-together with your stitching friends.

Love the Lizzie*Kate! Sad to hear about the exchange. I have only ever done one, and the stitching I sent was never received. Put me off ever doing another!

So annoying about the exchange. You sure held up you end with that gorgeous TW piece!

Love the cute little LK design. My kind of colors.

It's sad that you didn't get anything from the exchange :(
Your ornament looks gorgeous (I really need to learn how to do finishing) and the starburst flag of Canada chart looks amazing. I can't wait to see it stitched.

How frustrating that your exchange didn't work out this time, Dani... But, the round ornament that you created is fabulous as is your little LK finish.

How nice to have such a great group of stitching friends nearby. I look forward to seeing the Canadian flag chart all stitched up--what a beauty!

Very cute finish - love the colors! Your TW is amazing. I'm sorry that the other end wasn't held up - one of the reasons I tend to steer away from exchanges. Sounds like you had a great visit.

Great L*K finish, I've had a similar week, too busy to stitch much. I intend to make up for it this weekend.

How frustrating about the exchange. You have made something lovely. I hope the organiser will kick butt and make the other person realise they have let the group down.
I've been lucky with the few exchanges I have done. Apart from Karen who always sends more than me LOL. One day I will surprise her with a massive packing crate of goodies.

The TW ornament is spectacular! What a great piece. The L*K piece is so cute. I think I really need to buy that one. *sigh*

That stinks about your exchange partner. Boo. :( If they can't manage a finish, they could still send SOMETHING, you know? Grab a piece of linen out of your stash and a few pieces of DMC to send. It's better than NOTHING at all. (I've been burned too. Hence the BITTERNESS. lol)

The LK finish is just adorable! Such a shame about the exchange, it's not playing fair. I would love to sign up for more, but I know that I wouldn't have the time to do it justice. I hope it doesn't put you off for good!
Best wishes.

Love the TW ornament and your LK piece is great ... and not so scary!
Should be named and shamed ... but I bet they don't see at as shameful.

Lots of lovely stitching Dani. What a shame about the exchange. I can understand how you feel. The ornament you stitched is stunning.
