Well I have to say, it was a very interesting night at the scale at Weight Watchers tonight. It goes to show you that the body is the most un-predictable thing ever! Tonight's weigh in showed a 5 lbs LOSS at the scale! I have never in all my months at WW shown such a drop at the scales. I'm of course very happy about this, but on the other hand a little worried because ideally you should loose no more than .5 to 2 lbs to have a healthy maintainable weight loss. What did I do differently this past week? I have no idea! Could it be the activity from the last two weeks catching up with me? Is it the result of what happened on Thursday night? Is something wrong? I'll be truly concerned if I show another big drop next week, then I will know something is wrong but I'll cross that bridge if I get to it. I also want to be extra vigilant this upcoming week not to sabotage this excellent result at the scale.
I had a new start tonight on the stitching front, I finally started Margaret's Neighbourhood Round Robin. For her RR she wanted us to stitch a house we'd love to live in. It might sound silly, but I decided on the house from Cross Eyed Cricket's Sleepy Hollow. I picked this house because I've always wanted a house with a veranda, I don't have it but I can dream right? My progress is pretty pitiful so I won't bore you with a picture.

Dani-
It's okay to have that huge of a loss...especially if you've been uping the exercise or eating different foods-you somehow kicked started your body. Now if it continues to happen, I'd go to the dr. but I don't think it will.

I'm sure your fine and its just water shifting and your exercise. Don't worry you need to dance! :O)
My goodness girl - that's quite the loss. Congrats! You will just have to see what next week brings. Many hugs
Congratulations on finishing your project and congratulations too on your weight loss. You did exercise a little more lately no? I mean, the jogging for the cancer cure, the threadmile...I think it can all add up to your weight loss. I believe that even taking it easy and enjoying things (like your stitching)and being happy can have a great influence on your body. Enjoy it ;-) Ann
The exercise could be the thing but I look back at your progress and on week 20 you lost 4 lbs so enjoy and don't worry. congrats on the 5 lbs.
Your photo is lovely!
A great pic you choose for us today Dani! Congrats on the loss, hope you are feeling much better too.
congrats on the weight loss. Don't worry about it. As others had mentioned it could be water.
Hi Dani,
I've just been catching up on your
latest blog posts and read about
the incident last Thursday when
you took sick so suddenly. It
sounds horrible just reading about
it, and I'm sure was a thousand
times worse living through it. I
am so glad that Todd was home and
was able to help you. Hopefully
the Doctor won't find anything
seriously wrong with you. Do you
think it could have been an
allergic reaction to something
you'd eaten for dinner??
On a happier note, I really loved
your pictures of the Gatineau's.
What spectacular scenery! And it
looks even more so because of the
incredible Fall colours. There
are several pictures there that would look amazing blown up and framed.
And congrats on your finish of
Pears and Pomegranates. It looks
fantastic! You might consider it
an easy stitch, but it looks
pretty intense to me.
I agree that your big weight loss
had to be because of all the
exercise that you've had in the
last little while. That's got to
have an impact on you physically
when you do all that walking.
I'll be sending happy thoughts
and best wishes your way as you
visit the doctor this week and
continue to recover from last
weeks incident. And I look
forward to seeing your stitching
of Cross Eyed Cricket's Sleepy
Hallow house.
Take care.
Ok girl, first of all your needle is smokin! The P&P is simply lovely. Pretty colors, pretty pretty. Secondly, your body may be a reflection of what you went through in the ER the other night. Just keep the fluids going and eat good, your doing fine. You had the run...it's just catching up with you and again...it's found me. Yikes! :-)
Congrats on the weight loss - I wouldn't worry too much about the high numbers in one week.
I think it's wonderful! Your fine-enjoy it!
Well done on your weight loss.
congrats on your weight loss, we all know how difficult it is to loose what was so easy to gain, (I don't know if this is the right translation!?)I'm really impressed! Take care
I really wouldn't worry about that 5lbs after all your exercise the previous week - it struck me when you posted last week that you'd probably have a bumper loss this week.
Lovely photo, as always
Another Wow! I reckon it's a delayed reaction to all the extra activity you did last week, so don't worry. :0)
Hope your weight loss is due to your extra activities. looking forward to seeing your dream house.
While in one way the extra loss is great, I can see how it would be a bit concerning given it is such a large amount and all you had going on earlier. I'll keep my fingers crossed it is all the extra activities and not some remaining bug from when you were so ill.
Congrats on finishing pomogranates, it looks wonderful. Looking forward to seeing a picture of your house for the RR when it gets a bit further along.
Sue
Sometimes you can just have one of those big losses. With the extra exercise it's not surprising.
Think back at what you were eating, maybe you had less carbs too and that has a tendency to speed things up.
Congrats!
Congratulation on your loss!!! That is wonderful !!
I just read your post about your trip to the ER. How scary! I'm so glad you're okay. You may want to look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exercise_urticaria Some people can get a reaction from exercise. It's also possible you had some kind of reaction to something you ate. I sure hope you're feeling better! Congrats on the weight loss. I wouldn't be concerned, considering the circumstances. Five pounds in a week isn't cause of alarm. Stay well!
