Concert Time

Last night my sister-in-law (well I'm not married but that's what I call her) gave me an early Christmas present! We went and saw Chris Cornell in concert, Mobile opened for them.

After going out for dinner we got at the venue in time to catch the opening band, Mobile. They're a group out of Montreal, I've enjoyed what I've heard from them on the radio. I also really enjoyed what at the show, I think I'll be buying some of their music sometime soon.

About 45 minutes later Chris Cornell (formerly of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave) hit the stage! Terri and I almost got right up to the barrier and we were right by the base speakers. Boy we were rattled to our bones, but it sure was awesome when they closed the show with Spoonman!
Here's some of my shots from the show!

Too cool, Dani! I saw Soundgarden in concert in the mid 90s when they toured with Lollapalooza. Chris Cornell has some set of pipes, doesn't he?

Hi Dani,

You've got some great photos of the
concert. They look awesome.

I feel old because I don't really
know any of the music these guys
play, although I have heard of
Chris Cornell and the groups that he's been in. I'm more the folkie,
celtic, classic rock type of person.
Or, as I said before, old.

Your weekend retreat at Ann's
looks like it was a blast. The
Timberhouse was certainly a
beautiful location. Very comfy
and cozy, but plenty of room
for everyone to stretch out.
And the food!!!! I'm drooling
on my computer here.

Are those Ann's dogs??? They are
so sweet, and look at the hope
and longing on those faces!!
Such concentration.

Too bad the weather was so rotten.
But then again it was the perfect
weekend to hibernate and stitch.

Cheers!
