All Wired Up!

Yup, that's me not the most flattering shot but you get the point. Until lunchtime tomorrow I'm all wired up with a heart monitor! Poor me, I can't take a shower tomorrow morning, I really count on my shower to wake me up. I guess I'll just need to get myself the biggest steeped tea that a girl can get at Timmies!

Besides going to the hospital to visit the cardiac pulmonary department to get this monitor put on... really its not that bad. I had an appointment with my family doctor, just to update her on what happened to me on Sunday. Poor her! I went in with a notebook full of stuff, there's just so much going on that I needed to write it down to keep it all straight. I let her know about the timeline of events on Sunday, what doctors I have in place, and what they are doing. I didn't want her to get my cardiac results out of the blue! LOL, she'd really wonder what was going on. While I was there I talked to her about my migraines, I've pretty much had the same one every afternoon for the last 2-3 weeks I've given up on drugs they're not working. I also got from her my doctor's note for Weight Watchers stating that I am within an ideal weight range. It's not WW's idea of "goal" but I just don't seem to be able to budge those last 8lbs they want me to shed. I haven't decided if I'll give that to my leader next week or give it just a little longer, but at least I've got it.

Tomorrow morning is my next appointment, this one with my allergist. We'll talk about the potential of this being Exercised Induced Anaphalaxis. Then between 11-1 I have to go back to the hospital to drop off my heart monitor. It'll be a busy day!

When I can I've been stitching and here's where BFG stands, I'm almost done all the cross stitching!

I had to go back and read your last post to see what happened. I sure hope that the dr's can figure out what is going on and you get an answer quickly. I'm impressed with the ER Doctor too esp. since this is OHIP we are talking about :) Take care!

We make a great pair don't we! I think we should find ourselves a quiet spot for a couple of days and just relax and stitch...I hope this monitoring will give you some of the answers you need to get back into the swing of things and continuing on your journey.
Take care of yourself, Reb

I think you made the right decision with the WW goal vs. doctor's ideal weight. You did it. Your body is telling you that you are right now exactly where you are supposed to be. Keep stitching when you can...it's medicine. And keep keeping things written down and straight. Hopefully you'll know soon enough and your notes may come in very handy when/if you have to continue monitoring stuff. Mentally prepare for whats to come...you may not know exactly what at this point but it's probably going to involve change!!! I love you Dani!
I'm sending all the positive thoughts I can!

Well doine you for getting the doctor's note - surely we should be able to decide for ourselves what we should weigh? I think our own bodies know best!

Good luck for the weekend, hope the monitor keeps working how it should, and that you get in some quality stitching time alongside all of the other stuff.

Hugs,
Jo

BFG is looking fantastic! You look great being wired all up! I am praying for you and praying that the doctors are able to figure this all out and get you going again! I think that it is a good thing, the note and WW! Sometimes our body says thats enough! 8 pounds is not bad at all. If i were only 8 pounds over weight . . well lets just say I would be a skinny girl compared to me now! LOL

Keep us updated....one question to maybe consider is what is your blood sugar like? With you having gone through the weight loss maybe your body is trying to adapt? Just a thought...Good time to sit and stitchy imho...:)

Dani, I really hope they can find out what causes this type of reaction you have had, I wondered if it might be blood sugar too ! Anyway no good me guessing as I don't know what I'm talking about !

Take care , loads of positive thoughts are being sent your way from the UK xx

Oh Dani! I just read the last two posts! How terrifying! I'm glad she called an ambulance and you were taken to the emergency room. I hope each physician can work together, share their notes and find some answers!

There's something I don't get...I thought at WW it is "you" who decides to which weight you wish to go, and not them? Because you write that "they" want you to shed those last 8 pounds? I thought they propose a range, which I believe is the classic BMI range in which it is advisable to stay (as a general rule), to give you some kind of direction. Or does the system work differently in Canada? I believe it is the weight at which you feel great and happy that counts, and I wish to congratulate you again on your big achievement.
