April Review, and May Goals

Wow more than two blog entries in one week?  How can that be?  I keep thinking I need to blog more regularly again.  So lets try again!

I haven't sat down and figured out what I wanted to get done this month stitching wise, first lets cover April's goals.

April Recap
Stitch an ornament - Yes
Stitch a freebie - Yes
Work on Celestial Dragon - Yes

May Goals
Work on Celestial Dragon
Stitch an ornament
Work on Beatrice's Mirabilia RR
Start Jason's wedding gift

Something else I haven't really touched in a few blog entries is my continued weight battle!  Yes, if you haven't followed over the last few years you wouldn't know from my pictures that I battle my weight all the time.  I touched in an earlier entry how I had put on 5 pounds back in March and that I was battling those extra pounds.  Guess what I'm still doing?  Yup battling those pounds.  I managed to take 2 pounds of it off, and then last week what did I go and do?  Gain two pounds, then what did I do this week (Tuesday is my weigh in day)?  I gained another pound!  So as of Tuesday I'm currently six pounds over my doctor's recommended goal weight (I haven't been able to get within my healthy BMI range).  This week I have finally physically and mentally re-committed myself to the Weight Watchers plan, eating properly, tacking my food, and trying to get in 4 activity points a day.  This week has been a challenge to get hose APs in with all that's going on!  A few days this week I've managed to get out for a 30 minute walk at lunch, I've made it to a spin class (that is hard!) once a week the last two weeks, and I've manged to get in some running too.  Now to just keep going!  That's the hardest part, its so easy to slip into old habits, to sit on my butt and stitch.  I'm sure many of you out there understand this, its so much easier to do nothing.

Keep fighting everyone!

Well done on achieving April's goals, and good luck with May's new ones.

I have piled weight on whilst being on sick leave - it's too easy to sit and stitch for a good part of the day...Well done for having the motivation to do something active regularly!

Congratulations on meeting your stitching goals.

I think you look great, Dani. And I applaud your effort to hit and stay at your goal weight. I've unfortunately regained a lot of the weight I've lost thanks to some as yet undetermined illness. But I am determined to get it back off! You are an inspiration.

I was doing well with my weight loss until my surgery. Because I'm not working right now and I've been home resting and stitching most of the time, I've put on 2 lbs. Back to work in another week and I'm hoping to get back on track again too.
BTW, what's involved in a spin class?

You keep on going Dani! I have to refocus too. I keep losing the same 5 pounds over and over and over!

Dani, I feel your pain. I gained 5.1 pounds last week, lost 2.6 pounds this week. I too have rededicated myself to WW. Just wish I could get my appetite to rededicate itself! And those AP, whew! I did find a new small track with some benches around it that I can walk on and if I just get exhausted I can sit for a minute!
Good luck to you!

Don't get discouraged! just keep trying harder!! I find it is super hard for me to be active because my two favorite things are stitching and reading, not a whole lot of jiggling involved there! Hmmm...wonder if I tried to stitch on the eliptical if I would stab myself with the needle too awful bad? And trying to stitch or read while doing step aerobics?! Darn near impossible! LOL...

Dani,
Your weight loss battle is a great inspiration for all of us, don't give up!
And good luck with your May stitching goals.

Dani, You have the right idea!! Refocus yourself and lose the weight now while it is only 5 or 6 lbs. It is so easy to let the weight come on a little at a time until you gain it all back.

Good luck with your May goals - I need to set some, I think!

Dani, I feel your pain and know your struggle all too well. I had lost a total of 64 lbs. I'm afraid to get on the scale. I know I've gained back at least 6 lbs if not more. I feel pudgy and fat. Hate it! I still had more weight to lose. What does it take to earn 1 activity point?
