Thanks Rebecca!
I had a fantastic, perfect stitchy weekend at Rebecca's! She had me out to her place from Thursday-Sunday and oh boy did we stitch! Bonnie joined us on Friday and... oh boy did we stitch! On Sunday Beth joined us in the afternoon, it was so good to see her again.
Here's where Celestial Dragon ended up at the end of the evening yesterday (with a little bit of Hunter's tail). I finished yet another 1/4 of the dragon and got a good start on the last. Unfornately once all of the cross stitching is done on this last 1/4 I won't be finished yet! There's the scales to backsttich... all in gold blending fillament (ick), then the whole background is netting, all done in backstitch, witha bead in each corner! Lots and lots of beads!!!! So unfortunately the finish line isn't in sight.

The boys were just having so much fun in the lake!
Bonnie was a sweetie, after she found herself a flower frog... she managed to find one for me too (for a great price!!!). My scissors are now proudly displayed in my new scissor frog. Thanks bonnie!
Hunter was being adorable while I was trying to photograph Celestial Dragon, so I took a picture of him.
Cuddles was feeling left out so he got his picture taken as well!

CD is looking so good. It will be spectacular when it's done. And what sweet kitties. They look so comfortable!

Awesome stitching, Dani! Ugh, I am not much for blending fillament either. It's pretty & all but such a pain to stitch with.

Great job. When people ask me why I don't sell my needlework, thoughts of your piece and others enter into my mind. They have no idea how much work we do on our projects!
All I can say is "WOW." The patience needed to stick with a project like this is unimaginable. Kudos to you Dani! It'll be done in no time if you keep this up! :)

Yes we did get lots of stitching done, with some fun stuff and eating thrown in.

Wow, you're really making progress! I have to disagree though :-) the end is in sight, might not be in the very near future, but you are getting so close to finishing!

Sounds like you had a great weekend. I just purchased the same flower frog at one of the antique shops near me. There's all kinds of them around here.
I had a wonderful time as well...and I'm glad the photo of the boys doesn't show too much of me, but the face on me is priceless! Stitching, eating and gabbing - it was a wonderful long weekend. See you soon!
Oh Dani CD is getting more and more a dragon, all the best withe the backstitches and the beads....

Fun furbabie pictures, they look so sweet. Love your flowerfrog, where do you find those at? Nice progress on CD. I didn't realize all the backstitching with filament was left as well as the beading part, that will make for a bit more time till done.
As to your question on the cat mats, yes they go home with the cat when it is adopted so it has something familiar to smell and snuggle with while it is adapting to its new home.
