After such a long, busy day yesterday (I was home for all of 30 minutes between 9am and 11:30PM) it was nice to be "stuck" in the house by rain and thunderstorms. This way I wasn't tempted to do anything else but watch TV (
Christin has lent me all the seasons of Stargate SG1 to watch) and stitch.
'Tis Green
c2010 La-D-Da Just Cross Stitch Ornament Preview Issue
Stitched on 32ct Queen Ann's Lace Joblean
Stitched with Caron Waterlillies Winter Wheat
I started out by finishing "Tis Green" for a second time. This time its not an ornament but a gift for someone special. I just have to stop procrastinating and get the finishing done before the week is out! I also have a few other things I need to get done before the annual
Knowledge and Needles Open House on Saturday the 21st. I look forward to seeing so many of my stitching friends that day!

After finishing "Tis Green" I really wanted to get back to one of my bigger projects like "The Accolade" or "Art Deco Spirits" but I was disciplined and made myself start my August ornament since "Tis Green mark 1" was my July ornament. This is by an Italian designer, part of a series, I stitched the first one back in June.

Lovely ornaments. I could sit and watch SG1 all day too.
I like the smalls, they look like fun. Maybe someday I will do a few...
Be always in stitches.
I hope you are enjoying Stargate - we own the whole series and have enjoyed it thoroughly.
Tis Green is lovely ... and Caron fibers are just such a pleasure to use ... I'd never seen the Winter Wheat color way before ... I do believe I myst buy some myself.
It took me a second to notice the owl details in your ornament but once I did, they made me smile. It's funny how a monochromatic color choice tricks the eye and slows down one's perception of details so that you can look at a piece for longer periods of time and still find surprises to delight the eye.
'Tis Green is lovely, such a pretty design
Great stitching girl! See you soon!!!
Wow I never even noticed the owls until I read Riona's comment and went back to look. Cool! See you Saturday!
Wonderful stitching! Crummy weather days never get me down either...they're the perfect excuse to stay in with stitching :)
Stitching and Stargate - sounds like bliss to me. Lovely stitching too!!
Very nice. I have decided in order for me to stitch I am going to have to close my Facebook account. Just too many distractions!
Lovely stitching Dani!
I love Richard Dean Anderson, but never got into Startgate SG-1. I would love to start watching it from the beginning. Your ornaments look great. What red is that? I really like it. :)
Lovely stitching! I spent a rainy afternoon stitching way yesterday as well.
Happy stitching,
Annette
