I took this photo this past February in the slums below Simon Bollivar in Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. This withered face has so much character I wonder what she's seen in her lifetime? Was she born, has lived and will die in these slums?

I always enjoy your photo hunt pics ~ this one has speaks volumes! When I see an overly botoxed or plastic face I think why, as in why do that!?! When I see a face like this, I ask those same questions you did. The stories her face must hold...beautiful....
She has a Mona Lisa smile. Her life may be difficult by our standards, but she seems like she is okay.
