Presenting... Indigo!!!

*Shake*Shake*Shake*

*Shake*Shake*Shake*

Shake your booty!!!!

Yup ladies and gents, I am happy dancing here in Brighton today! I tried my best to finish Moonlight Guardian (aka : Indigo) last night. But my poor eyes got the best of me and I had to stop for the night just after completing the backstitching. However I prevailed today and finished up the beading during Ann's Thursday Stitching Group! It was wonderful to share my happy dance with about 13 other stitchers in the room! So often we celebrate our happy dances alone, at home.

Moonlight Guardian (Indigo)
c Dragon Dreams
Stitched on 28ct Blue Spruce Linen
Stitched using DMC Rayon & Cotton, Krenik #4 Braid, Caron Waterlillies, and Mill Hill Beads

Also what better day to celebrate a HD than on a good friend's Birthday! Happy 60th Birthday Beatrice! We celebrated with cake and tea during stitching today.

I also wanted to share a picture with you of Adriana, Beatrice's Mom who at almost 92 (next week) is still stitching... on evenweave! Here she is showing two of her latest finishes and getting ready to start a third in the same series!

While stitching at Ann's I've been quite entertained by this nest of baby robins whose parents made their nest in Dan's ladder. Poor Dan, he needed it at one point but just couldn't disturb the nest!

Last weekend I took a picture of the view off of the deck where I stitch when I'm at the cottage. Isn't this just a heavenly place to stitch?

Last but not least... this wouldn't be a genuine post from Ann's without a picture of one of the girlie dogs. Here's Paddy all pooped after this afternoon's company!

WOW Dani, congratulations on getting Indigo done. It is lovely.

I love the view from your stitching place - it reminds me a little of the one I have in my blog - can there be a better place to stitch than on a balcony shaded by trees and with a wonderful view?

Your friends dog looks lovely, I love retrievers such calm natured dogs.

Oh and thanks for the tip about the birthday girl - I just popped over and left birthday wishes on her blog.

Congratulations !!!! It must sooooooo nice to shre a happy dance with people who truly appreciate what we do. Usually people say it's nice but only stitchers know all we put in one piece.

Can I come stitch on your deck with you?

Indigo looks wonderful, and sharing a happy dance with other stitchers is always a treat. I'm one who always ends up celebrating alone because I always end up being up really late completing a finish...you know, oh - I'll only be another twenty minutes and it will be done....three hours later it is finally finished! Glad to hear you are having such a great time on your travels, hope you plan a little time this weekend at my place, no so peaceful with the two boys, but we will be home!

Hi Dani,

Moonlight Guardian looks simply
amazing!! Congratulations on yet
another fantastic finish. Bet it
looks great in person with all
the beads and sparkly threads.
And Indigo is an excellent name
for such a handsome Blue dragon.

The gathering at Ann's looks
like it was a lot of fun, and
I must say that I find it hard
to believe that Beatrice is 60!
She certainly doesn't look at
all close to that age. And her
Mom is simply amazing.

I wish I could attend the
gathering on August 16th, but
aside from the distance factor
we've also got a friends 25th
wedding anniversary party to
go to that day, with a pool
party afterwards. Hope the
weather is good. It's
certainly quite cool here
tonight.

I'm well past page 500 in
Breaking Dawn, and it's
getting to be so hard to put
the book down. I promise that
I won't give any of the story
away on my blog. I hope you
enjoy the series as much as
I have. I just hope the ending
doesn't let us down. Don't
know about you but I'm all
about the happy ending.

Your vacation looks and sounds
like it's been great. Loved
the pictures of Ausable Chasm.
What a beautiful place. Tubing
down the river must have been a
blast!! I have to go into work
on Monday and then I'm off for
almost two weeks. No major
plans, except that I just might
get some stitching done during
that time.

Have a great weekend Dani.

Cheers!

Hi Dani, Congratulations on finishing Indigo. She/he is lovely. My youngest son would love this one in his bedroom as he has a thing for dragons.

Sounds like you all had a lovely time together, celebrating Beatrices 60th birthday. Was the cake yummy? = Sandra.
