I Could of Just Cried

Tuesday night I really wanted to break out into tears when I stepped on the scale at Weight Watchers. I had a VERY good week last week. I was very sensible with my foods, didn't use up all those weekly points (but probably ate about half of them), was active in some form 6/7 days. What did I get for all my efforts, a 1lb gain. I'm upset, I'm frustrated, and now I understand how people can just give up and walk away from weight loss programs.

I haven't stitched a lot this week, I've been VERY tried. Here's where BFG stands!

Dani, please don't get derailed by a 1lb gain. Bodies vary from day to day, week to week and you have had a lot going on lately. You will probably drop 2lbs next week. Just stay consistent with your diet and exercise and it will serve you well. BFG looks great, must be fun to sit down with it right now and pick the section you want to work on. Hang in there CJ ok;-)

It is frustrating and I get that. It's heartbreaking to do the work and not be rewarded. This is a little lay over on your road to success. If all things came easy, and we know weight loss is anything but, you'd not truly appreciate the reward of achieving your goal(s). You will get there. Don't give up on yourself or the process.

You can loose it, don't feel bad, don't give up. That is only a small
number compared to what you've achieved.

WIP looks great!

Awww, Dani! Don't give up. Remember your body has been through a lot the past week and you've done so well this far. It's just a little hump and you'll get past it.

Dani,
I do understand; it's so discouraging. It doesn't mean you didn't lose weight - it just may not have shown up yet. Could be water retention from various things (we won't go into that here...LOL), muscle mass, etc. Hopefully if you stick with it this week, you'll see a larger than expected drop. Love your BSF!

I can understand your frustration, but I will just echo what everyone else has said, this is just a very minor bump in the road. As I type this I can see your weight loss journey - 61 pounds!!! Absolutely inspiring to those of us out there who are taking their own journeys ;-)

Drats, I can completely understand how you feel Dani. Just hang in there and stick to the program. You've come too far to give up now. Have you talked to your WW leader about this? Anyway, I'm sending you some Dutch sunshine to hopefully make you feel a little better.

That must been frustrating. But like the others said already...look how far you have come already. You did GREAT and you still do.

Dani, please don't get upset: 1lb isn't very much, and it's probably within the day-to-day fluctuations. You've come such a long way, it really isn't that bad.

And you haven't "stitched a lot this week"?? So who added loads to BFG behind your back, lol?

Dani...this is tough love...get rid of the scale. I haven't stepped on a scale for years and my doctors all know not to tell me my weight when they have to weigh me. I was obsessed with and addicted to the stupid scale. Do you feel good? Are you doing what you are supposed to be doing? Are you being reasonable and senseable? I think the answers are probably all "yes". You've achieved your goal. Now it's time to LIVE. Enjoy yourself, your husband, your art, your excersise and your achievements. Learn new things, explore things that have always made you curious, work on feeling good and forget that darned scale!! I hope you take this the way I mean it. Your BFG is incredible. I love blackwork and interesting, new things to do with it and this yours is great!

Hi Dani, I have been enjoying your blog for just a little while, but I am very impressed with it. I agree with other commenters, you should keep your chin up. You have been through a whole lot lately. Keep living healthy!

I've been going to the gym since Christmas and counting calories since Easter and I've not lost anything at all... I understand.

Sending big hugs and many pats on the back.
You know that 1 lb. could be gone today.
I think your body has reached it's ideal weight. You look stunning, you feel great and you are exercising. You are doing everything right.
Just hang in. Don't you ever give up!!!!
Love your progress on BFD

My experience with this is that the 1 lb. gain was usually balanced out by a 3 lb. loss that I wasn't expecting. Must look at trend over time, not what happens in one week.

You're doing great!

The closer you get to your goal weight, the harder it is. You have come so far, so try not to let the scale get you down!

The blackwork piece is stunning. :)

Don't cry! You did what you needed to do to keep yourself healthy. (That is actually the goal, right???) You have been having health issues and even if you don't feel stressed by the heart monitoring and all the doctor's appointments you have been having I sure there is stress there, and that can make the weight.
I think you are doing fantastic...I can't even get myself back on track to start the weight loss program again...too much other "stuff" going on.
Huge progress on BFG, it's looking fabulous!

Don't give up your doing very well with your weight loss and your BFG is looking really stunning

I understand the discouragement but don't give up! I've been working on weight loss for over a year and it's been very up/down. There are so many factors that can cause loss or gain no matter how "good" you've been. Stick with it & good luck to you!

glamlawlib said...

I agree with Wanda, ignore the number on the scale and think about how you feel instead. You're obviously fit and healthy and you've been through a lot healthwise recently, plus you say you're tired, these things all have an impact. Be kind to yourself Dani! :)

Your BFG looks wonderful - I wouldn't worry too much about the gain. Could be something simple, fluid or something. :D I'm in awe of how long you've already stuck to it and how much you lost!!!

Dani, please don't get to frusterated! You have had a lot of other health things going on lately! Maybe that has a little something to do with it. You are so close to your goal weight anyway!! Don't give up!!!

You WIP is looking just amazing!!!! Fantastic progress!

Happy stitching!

I can perfectly undestand your frustration. But I'm sure that next week everything will be different.
Your BFG piece is steadily growing and is looking great.

Ranae said...

please don't get too frusterated, really one pound is nothing. I don't weight myself but a couple of times a year. You are doing great and you look fabulous.
I hope your health issues are resolved, that must have been scary. Happy thoughts and prayers coming your way from me.
The stitching is looking great.
Take care!!

Please don't give up Dani, you've done so well. That 1lb could just be down to water retention & nothing more.... & you have had an awful lot going on with your health at the moment too. You will get there in the end (((((((((hugs))))))))). :0)
BFG is developing beautifully. :0)
