This post is a little of everything tonight.
First of all, yesterday was the dreaded weigh in day at Weight Watchers. Tuesday was the end of week 3 on maintenance, and still not getting the hang of this... I'm up another pound. So I've played with my points for this week, dropping down a little... also I'm back to work, and no eating out! I've done a lot of that over the last two and a half weeks!
Next, I've not stitched for almost a week! I haven't really picked up needle and thread since Thursday of last week. Tonight I took an off night from Taekwon-Do and everything else. I took a nap, made dinner, and stitched! Finally! Tonight I managed to finish my first of two ornaments for August

I need to delve into my stack of JCS's. Your Christmas Memories is beautiful!!
I never cease to be amazed that you manage to do two Christmas ornaments a month and still manage to do all the other fine stitching that you blog about ... including your work on some very impressive major projects. I am more than happy when I meet my goal of one Christmas ornament a month. Your Christmas Memories is very sweet ... are you and your friends going to devote a day to finishing ornaments again this year? I enjoyed the photos of the 2008ornament finishing GTG.
Maintenance is tough :( You've come so far that surely it'll only take a little tweaking :)
You know, I have never stitched an ornament. I have only done projects that I frame and hang. I am working on a cushion now....and all the lovely ornaments you stitch are sorely tempting me. I guess I would have to learn finishing techniques.
Hang in there with the maintenance, you will do it!
Not stitched? Egads! :) Love the Christmas Memories...it's nice to see the JCS ornies actually stitched so you know what they look like.
I'm sure that pound will come right back off once you get back in your normal routine. Love the stitching!
Pretty ornie. Fab pic - not a job I'd fancy! LOL You'll soon have that pound off now you're home. :0)
I've never made an ornament before too and you made 2 this month! Fabulous. I love that Bullriding picture!
Christmas Memories is beautiful.
Maintenance? I'm still trying to get the hang of losing.
Hope you figure out your points soon.
It sure can be frustrating sometimes, can't it????
Good luck with the maintenance, I'm sure the pound will come right back off too once you get back to normal. Love the ornie, I'll have to look that one up for future stitching.
You stitched up your ornament very quickly. It's nice. Good luck on maintenance. You did great with Weight Watchers.
If I do plan to head up to Montreal, I will let you know. Thanks! :-)
Very pretty and simple ornament...be sure to show us when you've done the finishing!
Thanks a lot for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate the encouragement!
That is a cute ornie. Nice choice!
Great Rodeo shot.
I love that ornament!
I have been stuck stuck stuck at my current weight.
What a cutie! You'll probably fluctuate a bit, but that's OK. Glad to hear you can take a day off, too. Naps are THE best, and when you go back you will probably be two #'s down!
What a fun piece, I love the little ornaments. Your earlier pictures were wonderful. The Japanese garden was awesome, I'd love to visit it sometime.
Sue
Your little ornament looks so great. I see more and more ornaments on the blogs lately, so I think I'll have to do the same as Harmien ...
Love your ornament. and the photo from the Holstein Rodeo. Your photos of Montreal are stunning!
Very pretty ornament. I hope things calm down a little for you and you find more stitching time! I know it helps keep things in order!
