The Weend Ends

I love the weekend, and I hate it ending every Sunday night. Finally, I had a full day at home today, to enjoy my new chair and work on Tour. Here it is as of bed time tonight, and once again I didn't want to put it down!!!!

I saw Avatar in 3D on Saturday with my Mum and Christin. I don't understand how/why so many people are in awe over this movie. Its just Dances With Wolves in the future... really. The head of security fellow reminds me of the character from Apocalypse Now whose line is "I love the smell of napalm in the morning". Yes the 3D was cool, yes the CGI was very impressive and artistically beautiful. But I did not walk away from this movie amazed as so many others say they were.

Here are my weekend pictures :

Saturday January 23 - We had an overnight frost again, I took this picture on the way to pick up my Mum.

Sunday January 24 - Since I wasn't going anywhere today my subjects were limited. But then Hunter was so cute, sitting there in my bathtub (ignore the soap scum!) he wanted me to turn on the tap just a tiny bit so he could have a drink.

Yay! Good for you, having a stitchy day. Your TDeM looks fab as usual. Love the pictures, especially the frosty one, but Hunter made me laugh, he looks like he's waiting for you to run him a bath!

Great progress on Tour! And another lovely photo of Hunter, he's so cute!

I saw Avatar before Christmas, and even though I liked it, I wasn't overly thrilled about it either. Basic plot situated in a new, different world (I loved the scenery)... It was a good movie, period.

What a beautiful "frosty" photo.

Hunter has such a pleading look in his eyes. LOL

As usual, I am enjoying your progress photos of your current BAP ... TdM is coming along beautifully, you can really see the progress since the last photo. I haven't seen Avatar yet but I have gotten very mixed reviews. My son Dan is in your camp; my daughter and her significant other are in the WOW camp. I think I will wait for the DVD. 3-d movies and trifocals don't mix well anyway. Hunter is as photogenic as ever though I don't think anything will top the photo with just his eyes being clearly visible as he stares out a darkened window ... Love the nature shot, you must be a whiz at F-stops and lens and all that ... people with that skill always amaze me. I remain happy just to get an image in proper focus.

I also saw Avatar in 3D and I absolutely loved everything about it! What can I say - I am one of those Sci-fi and Fantasy nut jobs!

Hunter is adorable :)

Glad you had a nice stitching time this weekend - getting that new chair broken in right! I can't believe what a difference my new chair has made for me, not that I get in more stitching, but my back is happier in a chair that fits. :) May you spend many happy hours planted in your chair!

Wow...Tour is just gorgeous :)
And I always wait until a movie is on DVD, but I've also wondered about the hoopla over the movie.

And I guess that's why I haven't gone to see Avatar yet! Tour looks great and I have a cat just like this one, bathtub and all!

Lovely progress on Tour hon. that new stitching chair is obviously helping.
Me - I'm a WOW for Avatar. Even Leo went and saw it.

Great progress! I thought that Avatar was impressive for the special effects, but that the story line wasn't all that different from other movies. I couldn't imagine seeing it without the 3D effects.

Great progress on Tour and I love your frost picture!

Tour is looking fantastic! Funny how the critters seem to like the water fresh from the tap. I have one that races to the shower every time I turn it off so he can lick the bottom of the stall. He (and the others) then wait for me to turn the faucet on so they can all have their drinkie poos.

Wow I can't believe how much you've got done on Tour! It's looking absolutely fantastic!
