PL Night

Well, another week and I still haven't seen the end of that motif! Its a big sucker, hopefully next week will see me wrapping up this motif and moving onto another one. When this motif is done I'm going to pull out my measuring tape and see just how big it is (on 32ct.). I've been asked several times what colour of floss I'm using. Its DMC Colour Variations 4240, I wanted to use an overdyed for this project but becuase of the sheer size I had to keep the cost reasonable. The new DMC colours were the right solution, I've bought 36 skiens I'm hoping its enough.

Tomorrow's Valentine's Day and I'm actually looking forward to it. Todd asked me what I'd like this year, I kept it very simple for him. I told him all I wanted was to go up to our local pub for a burger and beer, and I wanted to go on Valentine's Day. He was a very good boy and made a reservation.

I haven't started it yet, but I bought all the supplies for it, and I have 18 skeins for 28 ct. fabric, based on what the owner of my LNS said. They have a stitched model in the shop and I believe that's about how much they used for it, so I should be okay.

That DMC variation is just perfect for this. Have a nice Valentines Day.

PL is looking great. I love the colour you've chosen. I like DMC Variations as an alternative to the hand dyed threads not only because they are a reasonable price, but they are washable too.

I love the colour you're using on this piece. 36 skeins??? Holy!

Have a wonderful Valentine's dinner.

I appreciate the offer to come up this weekend, but I'm not going to be able to make it. Sorry. Keep me in mind for any gatherings in the future. We will get together for stitching one day!

PL looks fantastic so far Dani. I love the variations you chose for it. I've used this one for one of the motifs on Sea Stars.

Looks good and I'm glad that the "imaginary" man in your life came thru! And a burger and beer sounds good, wonder if I can talk DH into that? We would have to take the boys with us...maybe we will just do burgers and beer at home...then the kids can do their own thing...

PL is looking wonderful...are you stitching on Queen Anne's Lace?

This one took me ages as well! Just wait, there's an even bigger one waiting for you on page three LOL :) I'm seriously looking forward to page four by now - it's full of smaller things, which is appealing right now!

PL is looking amazing - and I agree, the DMC colour variations is a clever way of getting round the overdyed vs cost problem.

Glad you are looking forward to your burger and beer tonight - have fun! As Ed is away from home I won't see him til tomorrow - so I have a hot date with my lace pillow instead :lol

It may only be DMC but the variation thread are lovely colours and the shading turns out beautifully. Your PL is looking stunning in blue.

Happy Valentines Day!

PL is looking so pretty, and I think the DMC made a lovely choice, the blue is gorgeous. Your earlier finish of Give on your LK piece was beautiful too. I'm still waiting on my flosses for this so that I can get mine started.

I'm glad they were able to find out something on your foot, but sorry the news wasn't something that would be more easily treated. That would be so frustrating to know what is wrong but not have a solid, known fix for it. I hope the injection works for you and it begins to heal up and show improvement quickly afterwards.

PL looks great! I like the monster motif you're doing now, very valentine's appropriate with the hearts :-)
OMG, 36 skeins? That's insane. Do you think you'll need them all?

Very pretty. I'm loving the DMC varigated threads. THey feel a little rough going through the fabric though. But very pretty.
