Waiting Room Stitching

Well this morning when I headed to CHEO for my MRI I had my trusty Mini Cottages 5 in my purse. Thank goodness for Mini 5! It turned out the MRI department was behind schedule due to a couple of emergncies this morning. So out came Mini 5 and I plugged away at more ornage trees. It was about 50 minutes after the time of my appoinmtent when I finally got to go in and get changed.
Lucky for me, seeing as I was having the MRI done on my right foot I only had to go into the machine up to my mid-section. I tell you I've had a CT scan on my head and I'm sure the hole in that machine wasn't THAT small. I can see why people have a fear of clausophobia!!! They gave me a set of headphones and put on my favourite radio station to help drown out the sound of the machine. Now, imagine keeping your foot still for 45 minutes! I was in the machien about that long, no toe twitches, no nothing. I can assure you its not that easy!

This afternoon I started Love on my L*K Double Flips, I have the word stitched and that's about it. I wasn't in the best mood when I got home, then Todd's Dad and Sister came by to watch the Superbowl so I wasn't the most focused stitcher.

Tomorrow, the return of Tour!
Is it just me, have other people noticed that spell check isn't working? So parton the spelling mistakes and typos!

A couple of years ago they wanted me to get an MRI (after a heart echo cardiogram and other procedures -- There was absolutely NOTHING wrong!), but I refused. I am claustrophobic. Yes, sometimes even taking clothing off over my head can start a mild panic attack. I didn't think I could last in there five minutes and they tried to convince me it would "only" be 45 minutes. I asked them if they wanted to see a hysterical woman destroy their machine. I hope I never really NEED an MRI. They would have to put me out to get me in there.

It is difficult keeping still for that long isn't it? I think mine was only about 15-20 mins, I just shut my eyes and used yoga relaxation techniques to keep from panicking! Good progress on Mini Cottages, nice and sunny colours :)

I had an MRI early last year on my stomach and that 45 minutes was the worst of my life. I didn't even think I was claustrophobic until I got in there. How I fitted in that machine I'll never know but the roof was just an inch from my face and it was terrifying. I seriously would prefer to give birth again than have another MRI.

Never have had an MRI. I would have to be heavily sedated because any time I've been told to stay still, all my body starts twitching, itching, etc. Thank goodness for purses that hold stitching!

Your cottages are looking great ;)
And I had to laugh...if you're like me and you "know" you can't move a particular area...that makes you have more itches, muscle aches, etc to "want" you to move it more...agony :) LOL!

Only had one MRI for my knee so I can feel ya on this one! And not only is spell check not working but it's cutting out sections of words - I know I typed them correctly and when I go back to look it's like, where did that come from? ;)

I hope the results come back good on the MRI.

I noticed my spell check wasn't working either. It made me realise exactly how much I rely on it! LOL

I hope the results are favorable.
Cute cottage. It looks like you got a lot done.

My daughter has had to have two full-body MRIs for scoliosis in her back. Not fun at all. At least an hour in the machine, lots of bangs and knocking, and she had to lay perfectly still.
Your LK flip-its look like fun stitching! And your Powell cottages are really progressing well.

Hope that all goes with the MRI - at least you made lots of progress with your stitching!

I've had 2 MRI done so far. The first was only 15-20 min but the last one was of my back and I was in there for almost an hour. I was fine until I opened my eyes and saw how close the roof was to me. Then I started to panic. I closed my eyes again and forced myself to calm down but it wasn't easy!
Hope the results from yours are favourable.

I love waiting room stitching. The time actually flies by, and I've got something to show for it! The worst is waiting room 'jittery kids' - which is what I usually have. LOL!

I think if I had to hold still for that long, I'd fall asleep!

If it was me in the machine listening to music my foot would be moving in time to the beat. Hope the results are good for you.
