Today I went in for my fourth Prolotherapy Treatment (aka : 4 injections in my right foot) I've been getting these every couple of months since June of last year. This was one of two last ditch efforts to deal with the torn ligaments in my foot. When I saw the doctor I told him how well I was doing, and how my foot has been pain free since I last saw him in November. I can say he was quite smug that the therapy has worked (now I don't know how much of it was Prolotherapy and how much of it is weight loss). He told me right then and there that he wasn't going to give me the injections today, also that if I was still pain free in March to cancel my next appointment and consider us done! Oh happy day!
On the frustrating side, the scale didn't move for me again tonight! This means, in January I lost a grand total of 0.5 lbs, probably my lowest monthly total since I started Weight Watchers. I had a little heart to heart with the receptionist after my meeting. She scolded me for being too focused on the numbers, and she's right! I've had tunnel vision lately all I can see at the end is that 14lbs I have left to loose. So I'm going to try to let it go... the number that is, not the plan. I'm also going back to basics, what I practiced for the first months. All my treats are gone, I finished off the last of my Cadbury Thins and my favourite cookies on Saturday. So my home has been treat free since Sunday. I'm also making an effort to get in some sort of activity each day. I'm hoping these steps will kick start my losses again.
Tonight I started the stitched gift for my friend (ha, ha, ha... I haven't said who have I???). I'll have a progress picture for you tomorrow.
Sorry no pictures tonight, its just too late!

Your weight loss is certainly responsible for the successful treatment of your foot in some way, too. Well doen.
I am glad that your foot is better.
I am happy that you achieve your weight goals, I take as an example for me, because I must to lose many kilos, which won with a full year of inactivity, plus hypothyroidism, I still wait for the doctor allowed me to do exercises and special diet.
That is great news about your foot! And you have done a wonderful job in your effort to lose weight! WTG!
That's wonderful that your injections are hopefully all finished. And your weight loss has been amazing, Dani, try not to get discouraged. I'm sure once you get past this plateau, the rest will slide off.
Glad to hear that your foot is much better.
Hope it continues to be pain-free.
I'm soo glad your foot is doing better. That is wonderful news ! Hang in there with WW, I suspect it will get easier again once the warm weather starts, that is what happened to me this last 2 years.

Great news about the foot.
Plateaus are so tough to deal with but you have a plan and that is half the battle. :-) Stay strong and all will be yours!
Your weight loss is amazing: 56 lbs ! :-o Waow! Waow !!! Few people reach that goal and i'm sure if you can exercise everyday or so, you will loose more ;) Have you measured yourself? Maybe you are getting leaner?
You can do it! You are such an inspiration to all of us who have watched your daily transformation with awe, envy and then determination! Those darn last 14 will come - you are a machine! (Does this mean I shouldn't bring a WW treat on Friday?)
Amy
That's great news about your foot!
Crossing my fingers for you that that is the end of your treatment:)
.5 pounds for the whole month is great....not a gain:) It's hard not to focus on the #'s, but I think she's right. You're very disciplined and determined, so no doubt you will reach your call. Better to lose slowly...you know the spiel:) I think it's harder to lose in the winter because our body is trying to hold onto any body fat to keep us warm. Congrats for no gain!!!
Good to hear your foot is doing so well. A minus is way better than a plus & don't worry - you will get past the plateau & lose the rest. :0)
I'm very glad to hear about your foot! That's wonderful news. Going back to "Week 1" of WW is what got me to lose more when I had a plateau like that too. Kind of kick-starting your self again... Good Luck!
I'm glad the foot is getting better.
-0.05 is not a gain remember that it is a loss.
You go girl.
By the way I hit the -10 at the last Mtg.
That is good news! Be sure to still tape that foot up when you do TKD but you know that now, don't cha? :-)
Glad to hear the foot is better
I can sympathize with you regarding the suddenly unsatisfactory progress. When I first started weight watchers I lost 2 lbs in the first 3 months. No cheating. Not even a little bit. Still, once I cleared that hurtle, the weight began to come off in leaps and bounds. Everyone's body is different and look at all you've done so far! You'll get shut of those last 14 lbs soon enough. Congratulations on your perseverance!
I'm so glad your foot is better and the treatments worked. Yay!
Just because we know that plateaus happen doesn't make them any easier to deal with. {{hugs}} That you've kicked this plateau to the curb with your refreshed plan.
I am glad to hear your foot is feeling better :) Sounds like it has been painful.
Hey Dani..
Keep up the spirits!! I'm sure you will reach your goal!!!
Sending you good vibes
Yolanda
