Because of yesterday's attack of the frogs, I didn't stitch most of the day on my second start, but on my first. I didn't start my second piece until after 7PM. My original plan had been to start the Spring Mandala on the second day, but I had enough of that project for one day!
Snowman '10
Lizzie*Kate
Stitched on 28ct Canada Goose from Sugar Maple Fabrics
I needed something small, more colourful and on a bigger count. I went and started Lizzie*Kate's Snowman '10. Something must be telling me that I shouldn't be doing this Crazy Challenge! First I cut my fabric wrong... well I forgot to tell my fabric calculator that I wanted it over two (not over one). So first I cut it too small! Then as I started it, I realized the colour of the fabric was too light that the white wouldn't show up. So I went back to the drawing board and dug through my stash looking for something that was 28ct and darker! I finally found something in my hand dyed drawer.

Stupid Frogs!
Glad you were still able to do your 2nd start...even if it was later in the day
Great start on the snowman.
Can't wait to see what your start today will be :)
I sometimes need a quick stitching fix too. They make us feel good.
Happy 2012 to you Dani...I wish you a year of happiness and plenty of threads, needles and linen.
Hugs from Holland ~

The frogs have been visiting me too. Here's hoping they get bored of both of us soon and hop off.
Happy New Year!
The frogs were in Henrietta the other day when I was working on The Buzzz piece. I to take out and redo two of the bands and as it was I didn't stick strictly to the design since the bands were not supposed to go all the way across the panel. However I like them that way better.
I love your fabric and Lizzie Kate is the designer I turn to when I want something charming but less complicated to stitch. You made good progress for such a late start. I will be interested to see what you start next.
Yeah, you wouldn't think just starting something every day would be so stressful!!! This is another reason I don't do the crazy. Looks like your snowman is going to be cute!
Nice start on the snowman. I have this one and hope to stitch it this year.
Well, that frog certainly is a seasoned traveler ... he was here in the wilds of suburban NY this morning ... but happily only for a very brief visit. I caught my error almost immediately considering it was a Rhodes Heart stitch and it is very easy to see your mis-counts on such a specialty stitch.
Oh no, those frogs really are causing you some grief, get them out that door now and lock it tight!
I have this chart in my stash as well, great to see you stitching it.
Love the start on the snowman and you got a good bit done considering how late it was when you got to start it, I really hope you've turned the corner on "happenins" with your cazy challenge and get to have a good run on all your projects now without incident..best of luck.
Rough start but it is looking great!
I hope the frogs are gone now. Great new start. I have made a small start on this also.
ohhh dear .... fingers crossed things start to get better :) love mouse xxxx
Nice start to the snowman - eventually!
Hopefully you will have no further frog visitations.
At least you were willing to start another one and weren't put off by the frogs. It will probabaly get better now (I hope for you)

This 2012 challenge certainly is BEING a challenge. But, the start of the snowman is looking great.
Hope the rest of the challenge goes a little easier.
Sounds like the beginning of some of my WIPs, LOL...but, it looks like you have a handle on it now. Hope the Challenge is less...challenging??!! :o)
Snowmen are such fun to stitch, going to enjoy watching this
The frogs enjoyed some warmer weather yesterday, too. I finally had to put down my new start (CCN February Cottage) because I was ready to toss it across the room...
Good start, Dani! The fabric looks like (what I remember) a snowy sky :)
The frogs have really got it in for you!
Lovely start
I too had a rough day on Day 2 of CJC -- let's hope it's smooth sailing from here on out!
You're snowman is looking good. Can't wait to see the rest.

Oh my.... first frogging then fabby issues :( Just means the rest of the year is going to go well!
Happy stitching, Dani!
Definitely a crazy couple of days for your challenge! I hope tonight's stitching went better for you!
Nice start on the new crazy--even with the frogs! Hopefully that visit will keep them at bay for the rest of the year. I know--don't laugh--but we can hope. ;)
Happy new year to you & yours!
Great starts Dani but I certainly hope those frogs take off! You must have been so frustrated. I haven't been able to start much of anything since I'm still not back home yet.
It is a cute start. Too bad you had to fight for it. My your day 3 go easy on you.
Great start to the new year - have a wonderful 2012!
Hope this project flows smoothly from now on, Dani--I really like the fabric that you ended up choosing!
Lovely start. I think the fabric you picked is gorgeous! He's gonna be so cute when you finish him.
Hugs,
Veronica.
Darned frogs! We have an outbreak here in Wales too ;-) I hope the rest of the January challenge gets easier.
This one's my #2 start also! I started in the middle though, and stitched a green scarf. No photo yet.
lovely start!
Love the snowman.
I had a fair amount of frogs for my cjc. Hope they leave us all for the year
