January Crazy Challenge Day 4

Not as productive day on Day 4 of the challenge.  I took advantage of the warming temperatures (from almost -40c with the windchill up to -5c) and got out for a few hours, did a little shopping... got some groceries in the house since I'm back to work on Monday.  Then a nap was in order, it appears that bout of insomnia has caught up with me.

So today's new start, another Bent Creek design, small and I should of been able to finish it up in a day but I honestly didn't start it until the dinner hour, then there was that two hour nap...  Anyhow, here's Tall Snowman today's start.

I did also manage to do the finishing on one more ornament.  I couldn't tell you what this design is or where I got it.  It has been sitting in my finishing bin for quite awhile!  But I do love how it turned out.

I love the "mystery" ornament. I am impressed that you are doing the 15 new starts Crazy Challenge. Coward that I am, I my own Challenge for 2014 is to pare down the list of 8 class projects [all BAPs] and the list of 8 WIPs/UFOs [a mixed bag of BAPs, smalls and medium projects].

Can't imagine dealing with those frigid temperatures, Dani!! At least they give you a good excuse to sit inside and do more stitching... Love your latest finishes!

Cute projects.

What did you use to mount the second piece --- do you just use cardboard padded with batting or is there a product you can buy to mount it?

I know that reindeer design! It's a reproduction of an antique design, I think it's called Cerfs and something.

Next time I'm on the PC I'll try remember to look it up!

You've been doing some great work this January, lots of stitching and some lovely finishing.

I saw on the news about the weather in Canada. I hope it's not coming over here next! Lovely stitching and finishing.

The reindeer are called Les Huit Cerfs and are reproduced by an original sampler in the V&A Museum.

I can't find them online because all my links are on the old laptop! But I have the chart saved in a folder.

They call me Tenacious Jo! Hubby fired up the old laptop so I grabbed the chance to look through my links on it.
Here is the site for the Huit Cerfs:
