Last Night's HD

Last night just before midnight I finished up my August ornament! I was just too tired (also Miss Cranky Pants too) to post last night.

1992 Santa
c1992 Pam Brunke - The Prarie Schooler Inc.
Stitched On : 25ct Potato Lugana, over one
Stitched With : DMC cotton

I also finally picked up some buttons to finish off Hallowscornu, and here it is 100% finished!

Finally, it was too late tonight to really go digging around and get a start on one of my two Neighbourhood RR's that I currently have. So I pulled an old project out of the WIP basket. This is Jeannette Douglas's Pomegranates and Pears, a class I took last October at the Cross Stitch Cupboard's Retreat. Since I'll be going again this fall (with Kathy!), I figure I should come back with the project finished... right?

The long weekend is coming up here in North America, and I'm really looking forward to it! Kathy is hosting a stitching weekend at her place on beautiful Lake Ontario! A number of stitching bloggers will be in attendance as the weekend progresses! I'll be heading down with Christin and on our way we'll be picking up Judy at the train station. We'll be staying at Kathy's and I'm sure on Friday night we'll also see Beatrice since they're best friends! On Saturday I know I'll also be seeing : Ann and Lynn. I'm hoping on Sunday Rebbecca will be able to make it for the day! Of course I will get to see a lot of the wonderful Brighton Ladies who don't blog. Now besides the dishes I wonder what I should work on for the weekend?

Oh yes, I almost forgot to tell you that at last night's Weigh In I only lost 0.5 lbs. I know a loss is a loss and each one is to be celebrated, but I was hoping for a little more as I ran three times last week and I was very good with my foods and points. There's always next WI.

wow, they both look wonderful. It's such a cute biscornu!

I was going to send you the same award, as you inspired me to start a blog, I should have known you'd have been awarded it many times over :)

Have a lovely weekend, and enjoy all your stitching fun.

Ohh, this PS Santa looks terrific. Makes me want to start stitching one of them, too. Your biscornu is great, and a great finishing.

Enjoy your weekend at Kathy's stitch-in! It will be fun all over.

Very nice Santa and I love your Hallowbiscornu. Very very cute. I am looking forward to this weekend too. Safe travels and I hope you are over the cranky pants by Friday. P.S. Get those dishpan hands ready!!!!

Your finished pieces are lovely. I especially like the PS Santa. And don't worry about the small weight loss. When I was on WW, I found the loss was usually reflected in the week after I expected it. So next week should be even better for you!

Great finishes ...I love the PS Santa ... they are all so much fun to stitch. Your biscornu is adorable and the purple button works so well with the stripes in the hat. And, I do know what you mean about finishing a project before going back to the next year's retreat. I am going to have to spend the next two month's working on my Mystic Stitcher's Hideaway projects [yes, plural projects] I nearly completed the stitching on the pocket while on retreat last year but I still have the biscornu, scissor case and scissor fob to do if I am to avoid being shamed.

Love the biscornu. I have the chart and should really do it for myself!

Enjoy the weekend. Thanks to you I've stitched for both Kathy and Beatrice. They are great ladies.

What a great weekend you have planned, Dani! You're making me all green with envy. :D I'm staying home making sure my twins get to cross country practice. Perhaps I'll have a few minutes to sit with my needle and join with all of you in spirit.

Dani do not get despondant about your weight - remember if you are excercising then you will be putting on muscle which is far far better than fat but does increase weight (though not size). Its just one of those odd things because if you do not excersice you will lose more weight but be all horrid and flabby. Keep up the good work that you are doing all the work and still losing weight is very good.

Oh and I love the snowman.
