No Stitching To Show

I was hoping to share with you a finished JBW stocking, but my head is starting to get pretty bad, so I'm going to most likely give up and go lie down.  I'm down to the foot on the stocking, and if I didn't have this migraine I would definitely get it done by bedtime!

I've had a very full and busy weekend!  Today I judged and competed in the Capital Cup Friendship tournament.  I haven't stepped foot into a tournament since 2007, I don't think it much longer after that tournament that I tore the ligaments in my foot and ended up taking 1.5 years off of Taekwon-Do!

Mr. Marin, school owner giving a last minute pep-talk to the students.

Our school was very well represented with about 40 students competing from age 5- 60 (ish)!  We had students competing in obstacle course (4-6 yrs), team patterns, individual patterns and sparring.

All the team pattern competitors

Paige and I with our GOLD medals!

I competed in team patterns with Paige and Jason (my partners in crime from a post earlier this week).  Mr. Marin, our head instructor on Saturday afternoon told Paige and I how he would really like to have a team in the tournament.  So Paige and I got our acts together, planned things out, called Jason told him he was doing it and that we'd meet up in the morning before the tournament to run it through a few times.  Man, did we KILL it!!!  We came in 1st place!

Sadly I didn't do so well in individual patterns.  It was going very well, until the last 4 moves in Sam-il and I froze!  I forgot the last 4 moves!  Argh!  So I returned to jumbi, bowed to the judges and that was that.  I ended up with a bronze medal.
