Stitching Progress

Despite my numerous walks during the gorgeous holiday weekend we had here, I did get some stitching in between them and the family meals!

I've been working away at one of the letters from the Prarie Schooler Alphabet.  This will be part of a friend's quilt, and I chose K is for Kitty.  as I stitch  up this kitty I'm more and more convinced it looks like Zeus!

On the weekend I'm heading up to Rebecca's, she's hosting her annual "My Husband's Gone Hunting" stitching weekend!  I'm really looking forward to a great weekend of stitching!  Fingers crossed, I'll be happy dancing before I head for home!

Not only did I take pictures during my walk on Monday but I did on Sunday as well while we were up at the cottage for turkey dinner.  I only took a few shots, and here they are.

Just finished reading your post from Tuesday, too. Beautiful photos! You captured the essence of fall! That is one season I truely miss living in California. Here, some trees drop their leaves without the splendor of a show of colors - Poof! they are gone - leaving in their place bud of new foilage which seems to start leafing out within a month or so.Thank you for sharing fall with me.
Your K is for Kitty is coming a long beautifully. I am sure that there is a happy dance coming very, very soon!
Take care.

A stitching weekend at a friends house sounds like a wonderful time. It's so much easier to sit and stitch when one is out of their own house!

Nice progress! I loved the scenic pics, too, both in this post and the Thanksgiving post. One of my neighbors just moved their family to Canada, somewhere in Ontario, and darn if I can remember the name of the town. It's near Lake Ontario. Apparently they are loving it so far!

Enjoy your stitching weekend!

Weatherwise it looks like we'll have a good weekend to sit in and stitch. I'm sure you'll get that block done by weekend's end. It's looking great! See you at Rebecca's!

I love the kitty on K is for Kitty.

What a beautiful area for a walk. I see your fall colors are really spectacular this year.

Our lake is just beginning to show a little color on the cypress trees. We don't have those beautiful hard woods. We have to "make do" with the cypress trees. LOL

K for Kitty is going to be really cute!! I love the idea of the "My Husband's Gone Hunting" stitching weekend! What a great idea. Of course, my spouse would have to probably have a gun to his head to go hunting in the first place, LOL!!

Love your Autumn photos - Autumn is my all time favourite season. In Melbourne, we have the most beautiful weather - nice sunny days, cool evenings and the lovely turning leaves.
