The PhotoHunt theme on January 23, 2010 was "Balanced"

This is my friend Jason about a year ago now, during his Taekwon-Do 4th Degree Black Belt test.  He is performing the 2nd Degree pattern Juche.  This is commonly called the "young person's pattern", this technique pictured here is why!  You balance on one food while doing a reverse turning kick in slow motion.  I can't do this move anywhere near as nicely as he can!

Every year I stitch up an ornament for the girls in the office.  Last year all the ornaments were of a similar theme, I liked the idea I did it again this year!  Last year they received the JBW Stocking Ornaments white thread on red fabric.  This year they're going to get the JBW mittens, red thread on white fabric.

These work up pretty big on 28 count, so I'm stitching these up on 40ct linen.  As you can see my 4" scissors are bigger!  I'll wait to do the finishing once I've got all six ornaments stitched up!

I LOVE To Organize!

I love to organize things, I always have!  I think even as a kid there's nothing I loved more than putting things where they should be.  My books on my shelf are in alpha order by author, my DVD's are in alpha order by title.  My profession is even organizing, I'm a Library Technician!

My stash... boy oh boy its organized like there's no tomorrow!  After finishing up the JBW bear yesterday I realized my little "thread collecting" basket was full!  After I finish a project I put the floss into a little blue plastic basket I have and once its full or I can't find something I'm looking for I empty it out and organize all my floss and put it all back where it belongs.

Its like a zen moment for me.

Here's another little project I started some time ago, I think before my Mum got ill.  This piece was on the chopping block after I finished the Quilt Blocks and its nice to get another item crossed off of the to-do list!

I stitched this up for a friend of mine who had a baby boy at the beginning of the summer.  I did stitch all the baby's info on it, but I don't want to share that.  It flt perfectly in an 8x10 frame so I'll see if I can find something just right in either Wal-Mart or Michael's and frame it myself.

Next up on the chopping block are the ornaments I have planned to stitch for the girls at work for Christmas.  The first one I stitched some time ago, so I only have 5 more to go.  I've made a start on the 2nd one today and its going great.  I don't want to show/tell you too much more because I'll need stuff to blog about since I'm determined to post every day this month for NaBloPoMo!

PhotoHunt : Light

Its Saturday!  PhotoHunt Day!  This week's theme is "Light"

I took this picture back in September when I went and saw Roger Daltry of The Who perform "Tommy" from start to finish.  I just loved how lit up this panel was.  I don't know if he was a sound guy (they're usually at the opposite end of the stadium), or a lighting guy.

PhotoHunt - Jiggly

The PhotoHunt theme on January 16, 2010 was "Jiggly"

This summer during our trip to Quebec City with Bonnie and Blair we went and checked out some of the Chutes St. Anne the trail goes down one side of the river and back up the other and there are a few bridges you have to cross along the way.  The one pictured above was very "jiggly" when you walked on it as it was a suspension bridge.  The height didn't bother me but stupid teenagers bouncing on it really did.  I didn't stay very long on that bridge!
