Getting Ready

I meant to blog last night, to let you know how the scales had treated me at Weight Watchers last night. However with the heavy winds and snow (yes I said snow) we had last night, my Internet was out and my power kept going off and back on again. Anyhow as usual I'm surprised! I lost 1.5 lbs this week. Yahooo! That goes to prove that weight loss can never be predictable.

On Friday after work I'm off to Ann's to do "ornamentification"

Dani's Dictionary definition :
Ornamentification (verb) - the act of taking stitched pieces and turning them into ornaments. Best done with friends.

Since I plan to go to Taekwon-Do tomorrow night I had to start getting things organized tonight. I spent some time this evening cutting mat board, foam or batting and co-ordinating fabrics. To keep everything organized I've got each ornament in a little baggie with its bits and pieces ready to be put together.

I did a little bit of work on Margaret's RR. I've almost finished the roof, but I ran out of floss with one and a half rows to go. Luckily Christin assures me she has it, and will give it to me on Friday when we meet for dinner with her mom before I leave town.

I'm happy for you regarding your weight loss. Ornamentification... what a fun word ^.^ What's the blut floss used on Margaret's RR? Very interesting variegation of blues.

Dani, I think you are doing amazingly well with your diet ! I do not suffered from weight gain (up to now ;-) but realise from family and friends just how hard it must be to have to learn to control your weight. I totally admire anyone who can do so and who can stick with it, as really it is an adjustment for life . You go girl ;-))

Hi Dani,
Congratulations on the weight loss. I saw your picture on Kathy's blog. You are looking great.
What a great collection of ornaments. They should all look lovely on the tree.
What a crazy world we all live in. Just read that you had snow. We have snow one day last week. I'm sure though not as much as you will have. Today it is supposed to be 38 degrees C in Sydney.
Have a lovely weekend - Sandra.

Go you with the Weight Watchers. You're doing awesome, and it really shows in the photos. And you got snow. I'm so envious. I think it's the one thing I miss most about living in the US now. Anything else I can import!

I've been bragging about you to DH, and he's thinking of doing Weight Watchers now too:) Love your stitching - you make me want to pull out and start a new Dragon Dreams piece - but I must finish something first! lol
