Tonight my Mum and I went to Star Wars in concert and had an absolute blast!!!! I think I secretly had this stupid grin the whole time the show was on, it was fantastic! I had to keep reminding myself that this was a live orchestra in front of us and not the soundtrack. They were absolutely flawless!
Well things aren't going well in Weight Watchers world. This morning, when I stepped on the scale I had to step off and get on again. I saw a number on the scale I thought I wouldn't see again. Somehow over the last week I've gained 2.5lbs to add onto the 1.5lbs I gained the week before!!!!! Argh this is a never ending battle! I understand the 1.5 gain after retreat, but this week's just doesn't make sense! I ate well all week, and was fairly active. I'm going to blame it on fluid retention, stress, this past weekend's physical (I'm still sore), and I'm wondering if deep tissue massage will cause you to retain fluids as well? (I had a massage last night) Do my excuses sound good to you? So besides tonight's fantastic Indian meal out where I avoided anything in a cream sauce I will watch what I eat all week and hopefully I'll drop back down next week. As you can all see my struggle is never ending!

Actually yes! You can retain water from deep tissue massage. Your muscles repair themselves with water...and if they had been "irritated" by the massage then..yep...you can retain the water.
Also if you happened to take ibuprophen for any reason...that would do it too.
The concert sounds wonderful. We go to Trans-Siberian Orchestra on the 5th. I can't wait!
Wish I could have been there with you! Don't beat up on yourself about the weight gain. Next week it be better.
The weight gain is natural, so don't beat yourself up over it, just remind yourself that you don't want to go back "there"!
Oh my gosh, I bet that was absolutely awesome!!! Don't give up on the weight loss, you are doing great!
Sounds like you had a great time at the concert. Don't give up that easily on your weight, remind yourself that you've made it this far and you can fight back. Good luck!
I love live orchestras! Don't worry about the weight gain, just keep doing the right things. The important thing is that you have caught it early and can 'step' on that creeping weight gain.
Sounds like a GREAT concert! Don't worry about the weight-you'll get back down.

I think half the show at these concerts is the light program. That pic reminded me of the TSO concert and along with having the live orchestra, the singers and the lights it is a wonderful package and makes for an exciting evening. Glad you enjoyed it silly grin and all.
Be always in stitches
Being a motion picture score lover I desperately wanted to go to this concert on the 26th at the ACC but alas no money! Glad to hear it was fun though, i've ALWAYS wanted to see a live orchestra play my favorite music :)
The concert looks like it was spectacular from your pictures. Nothing geeky about that!
You will lose the weight again. Just remember the strenuous workout you had on Sunday. Your gain could have been muscle and not fat/fluid. You have come along way and just think how hard last week's part of the test would have been if you had it before you lost the weight.
I wanted to see Star Wars in Concert when it was in Boston but I had to work that day and I knew I'd be wiped by the evening. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Ooo I am green! Would love to have been there. :0)
My first thought was that it could be down to the extra exercise. Go easy on yourself Dani (((((((((hugs))))))))).
Concert sounds wonderful! If you've been careful this week, it'll probably drop off pretty soon. But you're smart to catch it early and take care of it. You're doing great!
