Urgh, My Eyes Hurt!

I think I've been stitching wayyy too much since Tuesday! Today my eyes hurt! Not my hands or wrists but eyes! I tried to work on Tour but my eyes wouldn't let me, then I tried to work on Art Deco Spirits and had to give up. I spent a few hours on the computer visiting blogs, and tagging my pictures in Photoshop Elements.

This evening I was able to pull Art Deco Spirits back out and I've got all the white done on the Earth block and moved onto some more purple/blue.

Seeing as this is the start of a new month, I suppose I should set out my goals for January!
January Goals
Stitch 1 ornament
Finish Lettres A Mon Chat
Work on Tour des Marques
Work on Art Deco Spirits
Blogiversary Gift (very overdue!)

I've gotten a few PhotoHunts (still haven't completed last year's list) ready so here's the next one "Creamy"

These were dessert and one of the retreats I went to a few years ago, yummy and creamy!

I also took my daily picture, since it was cold, windy, and snowy today we didn't go anywhere so here's a Hunter shot!

Love the kitty!

I'm sorry your eyes hurt. Please rest and take care of them.

It's always fun to visit your blog.

I find a cool wet cloth over my eyes helps, I often get tired eyes. I find dark blues especially hard and you have a lot of blue there. Those desserts look fab:)

Great work! I haven't seen anyone work on Deco in a long time! I still need to do goals AND get my dare WIP pictures up.

Good luck on your Goals, I can see the white bit, just!! LOL
Can't look at the desserts as I have decided to go on a diet, well not a fixed diet except cutting out snacks and exercising more!

I know what you mean, but the pain was so much fun .

I totally know what you mean about eyes hurting. I have a weak leftie and it has been giving me fits during my last stitching frenzy. Sleep and rest help. Hehe. Who wants to sleep when you can stitch?

Hunter is so gorgeous! He looks like my cat, Mr. Boots. There is nothing like a cat for looking dignified. Eye strain is no fun at all for a stitcher; I hope they are rested soon.

Hunter is an absolutely beautiful kitty. Take care of your eyes. Maybe even rest them from the computer. My eyes always get extrememly tired when I've been staring at a screen too much (hard on the job when that's all I do there!).

So sorry you are experiencing eyestrain ... I have used those gel-filled masks that you pop in the freezer for a while with good effect.

Hope your eyes are feeling a bit more rested now. Art Deco is looking great, but all that white on white would have been tricky. Loved the photos. Creamy looked so yummy, and Hunter is so cute in the box.

I think the soar eyes is what keeps me so slow in doing my stitching. Like someone said above, a nice cool cloth over your eyes will do wonders!
Hunter looks good on green! That is a cute photo.
And those desserts...just look dangerous to me. Not like I have been following my program lately...I'm getting back there soon!

Hope your eyes hurt less now Dani. Must admit Clare's suggestion sounds like a good one.

Art Deco is looking good.

Happy New Year!

Hunter does not look terribly pleased to be a part of the blog.

Oh, I know that much too well. When the sight even through the magnifier gets blurry I know that it's time to stop stitching and do something else.

I hope your eyes are much better by now Dani. You've made good progress on Art Deco it looks great. You are very brave for putting up pics, on your other post, of your wip's that still need finishing, I'll have to see if I'm brave enough to put mine up lol.

You know you've stitched too much when your eyes hurt. yikes. Hope they feel better soon.
Great stitching going on there I see.
I'm still going to look at doing TdeM over one I love how it looks!

Love the progress - sometimes my eyes get really blurry. Dr. said it was from not blinking and dry eyes. Supposedly lubricant drops are supposed to help. Kitty reminds me of our Zoe. Hope yours has a better disposition!

Nice to see Art Deco out again. Sorry that your eyes are giving you trouble. Guess they have to adjust to all that stitching time again.
Hunter is a cutie-patootie.

Looking forward to seeing more progress on Deco Spirits - I have this one in my stash too so I can live vicariously for a while watching yours getting stitched while mine languishes in retirement :P

All the very best for 2010 Dani - hope it's full of every kind of wondrous things for you :D
