Crazy Challenge Day 5

I didn't get in a full day of stitching yesterday.  Instead I had a lovely day out with my Mum, doing some running around and grabbing my favourite pizza for lunch!  What a treat!  I also got all of my travel medicine stuff done for my upcoming trip to the Dominican Republic in the latter part of February.  I'm heading back for another Dominican Experience, this time with 16 students!

Eat, Sleep, Stitch
Cherrywood Studios
Stitched on 28ct African Daisy Joblean using DMC

I wasn't sure what I wanted to start when I finally sat down to stitch yesterday evening but I did know ti wasn't the Summer Mandala (saving that for today).  So a bit of a group session on iMessenger (love it!) with Christin, Bonnie and Tracey we agreed upon Eat, Sleep, Stitch.  I'm glad we did.  It was another nice, colourful, simple piece on 28ct fabric!  I have started leaning towards higher count fabric fabrics in the last year but I always forget how much I like the lower count fabrics like 28!

How about another Retro PhotoHunt?  On March 13, 2010 the theme was "Spiral"

In the spring, ferns unfurl from a tight little spiral.

Cheers Dani,
I hope that 2012 brings you much happiness and great health, not to mention a few good stitches.
Be always in stitches.

I am enjoying watching you select your Crazy January Challenges. I do like the message of "Eat Sleep Stitch". Sounds like a wonderful retirement mantra to me! But I don't think my doctors would approve of such a sedentary lifestyle. In any case that's all at least 5 years down the road.
I wish you joy of all your new starts!

I love watching ferns unfurl! They are so soft when they first open.

I've just caught up with the last 3 posts, and you have all my admiration for not kicking the pesky mandalas hard in the direction of the antipodes - I know I would have! You've got lots of lovely starts :-)

Not getting to stitch that much was definitely worth giving up to spend time with your mom....always fun to have a day out!!

Your Eat Sleep Stitch looks beautiful!! I know what you mean about the lower fabrics...so much easier on the eyes!!

Another cute new start, I have this one in my stash. Glad you didn't have any froggie visits, I think he was here last night as I had to rip out a letter on my personalised sampler after stitching it one thread out!
Didn't know you had iMessenger and that you could do a group chat. I have it as well, just let me know if you want to become buddies on it.

Great start, and a fantastic choice for some relaxing stitching. I stitch on mostly higher thread counts as well, and its always such a surprise to go back to 28 or 32 count, and so much easier on my eyes.
