WIPless Wednesday

Happy Wednesday Readers!  Its time for that weekly post of mine!  I am so enjoying WIP Wednesday!

 Happy Halloween
Silver Creek Samplers
Just Cross Stitch - 2013 Halloween Issue
Stitched on 28ct Burnt Papyrus by Sugar Maple Fabrics
Stitched with DMC, Weeks Dye Works, and Gentle Art Sampler Threads

I don't have an actual recent WIP picture for you today, but I do have a Happy Dance!  I finished last week's WIP shortly after 11PM last night.  Once again this isn't my usual "stitching style" but WIP pictures of this piece kept popping up on my feed on Instagram (follow me @tkd_chick) and I was loving watching a couple of ladies stitch it up.  So being the nosy stitcher I am, I asked what design it was and how I could get my hands on it.  I was told it was from the 2013 Just Cross Stitch Halloween Issue.  Well, of course I had it in my stash!  I just love the piece of fabric I used, its been in my stash for many years and its such a shame the company isn't in business anymore I'd love to get my hands on more!  I suppose I should do the finishing on this sooner rather than later?

Since I don't have a new WIP for you, how about an old one?  This piece is on my mind, its a cross stitch adaptation of the painting "The Accolade".  The chart was a gift from my friend Beth who I met through stitching and I've been working on it for quite a few years now.  I'll be picking this back up real soon!

Now, how about I share another ornament I did the finishing on back in the summer!  This pair are from a chart by Midnight Stitching called Heartstruck Quakers.  Aren't these guys adorable?  I have to say I found the heart-shaped ornaments a challenge, but I'm very happy with how this cute little duo turned out!

I have that magazine and I don't remember that pattern. Your piece looks great and now I want to do it.

Super Halloween finish!

And your little hearts are perfect. A heart finish is really a tricky one!

The Accolade is beautiful -- sooo many stitches!

I loved that Halloween pattern when I first saw in the magazine, but I never stitched it. Now I want to again!
I also loved - and hoarded - Sugar Maple Fabrics. I was so excited when I finally got around to stitching Just Nan's "Mermaid Heart" on a piece of Dolphin Dance! I still have a couple pieces hiding in my stash...I think a couple of the "fairy"-themed blends?

Good work on those hearts! I'm totally chickening out on finishing heart shaped ornaments and sending them to the finisher.

Love the Halloween piece, it turned out wonderfully. I have that issue of the mag too, think I need to go dig it out :) Your two finishes of the snowman quaker hearts are adorable (bet getting them finished in a heart shape was a challenge). Looking forward to seeing what progress you make on Accolade, that piece is gorgeous. Sue

Love the Hallowe'en piece, I also have that issue so I may have to add it to my list,

Please do continue with The Accolade, I remember this one from last time you were stitching on it.

I have never made a heart ornie either but they do look tricky. You've made a nice job of your's anyway.

Love the Halloween piece and your other 2 heart shaped finishes. I try and avoid those finishes as they look a real challenge.
