K&N Open House Day 1

Well its Sunday, the clocks are all changed, Dan is cooking us breakfast so all must be right with the world.

The Knowledge and Needles open house on Saturday (still going on today!) was definitely a huge success! I'd have to say things were busy to very steady from 10am to 2pm! There were lots of familiar faces in the crowd and some new ones as well (which is always nice). Here are a few of my shots from the day.

This is my favourite stitcher in the world! Adrianna who turns 93 this summer, and she is a fantastic stitcher and still works on evenweave at her age! Also she won Saturday's door prize!

One customer brought in their daughter, the cutest little girl who was just in love with the dogs.

We got to see deer bounding through the field across the street.

And of course there was shopping afoot!

I can't wait to come see all the new stuff Ann has gotten...only 13 more sleeps! And great photo of Christin - I know how she loves to get her picture taken - NOT!
Say "Hi" to everyone from me - missing you all and wish I was there to join in the fun.

Hi Dani,

Oh to be in Brighton Ontario when
Ann is having such a wonderful
and fun event at her store. I
have got to talk to my DH about
packing up and moving to south
Eastern Ontario, where all the
fun is!

Loved seeing the photos of the
various visitors on the first
day of the open house. Adrianna
has her serious shoppers face on
and was probably totally unaware
of the camera zeroing in on her.

The dogs are adorable, the
store looks like paradise and
the thought of spending an
evening in a hot tub during
such a miserable time of year
is a wistful one. Oh, and
the deer in the field are too

Congrats on further weight loss.
Hope things continue smoothly
for you in that regard.

Looks like a fun weekend.

I recently completed a pinkeep and used your suggestion of the ladder stitch to stitch the two halves together. It came out perfectly with almost completely invisible stitches. I was really impressed. Thank you for your help, I have found this finishing technique so much easier and neater now.
