Mini Mystery J Part 1a - Done

And so far I don't like it. I don't like how the colours go together. So far they don't work. I keep thinking of a ball of clay after a kid has mixed all the colours together. The beads and crystals are pretty but that's all this piece has going for it so far. Hopefully part 1b will help pull things together?

This is the first time I've had a strong feeling of dislike for a Chatelaine Design.

Now onwards and upwards with Midi Mystery 1 part 1.

I feel the same that you do. Hopefully it will all come together alot better with the next installment. Personally those choices in colours are not ver appealing in my eyes either.

I haven't stitched mine yet - and don't know exactly when I'll have the time - but looking at yours, I'm going to have to say that I still like it.

I guess I'll have to reserve judgement until I can see my own in person.

Hmmmm... it looks good in the scan... Martina can get a bit funky sometimes with her colors. I remember not liking MVI at times due to the way she put colors together, yet it did turn out great in the end.... I hope that will be the case for you with this little mystery too!!

I wouldn't like it at this point either, but you might be surprised. I stitched the whole of the Sampler mystery disliking it and it was only when I put in the text in the centre that it came together. I quite like it now. This one might be the same. I hope it works out for you!

My Harry Potter Bear was in an issue of the UK Cross Stitcher about 2 or 3 years ago.
