Happy Canada Day!

Happy Canada Day!!!

I hope everyone made the most of this day off! I know I did! I've actually had a very nice extra long weekend, I was off Monday as well. This weekend was a combination of busy and lazy, the perfect combo. There was stitching, there was naps, and there was yard work, hopefully in the right quantities!

After I finished all my obligation stitching (which I shared with you in my last post) I've focused on Lizzie*Kate's Double flip-its. This means I've managed to finish Encourage and start on Laugh. This means I'm 2.5 words away from a happy dance! My own first big one for the year I think.

I got to spend today stitching down in Kingston. This morning... bright and early (8:30am, too early on a holiday) I picked up Christin and I drove into Kingston to Beth's house. Beth fed us a fantastic (and WW safe) lunch then we talked and stitched until 6:30pm. It was sooo nice to see Beth, its been too long!

I'm already looking forward to this upcoming weekend! I'm having a stitching get together at my house! Kathy and Beatrice are making the 3 hour drive for a weekend visit! As usual Christin will be here and it sounds like Lynn might be able to join us as well. So if you're in the Ottawa area or within a reasonable drive, you're welcome to come join us for stitching and dinner on Saturday, please contact me!

Your Flip-its are looking great, and I would love to come to the get together, but you are a little too far away. Hope you all have a great time.

Your Flip-its look fantastic ... especially in the column format ... I've seen them stitched seperately but I like your wat much better. But what really has me envious is all your stitching buddies ...

I would love to join you on Saturday but it would be a 4 - 5 hr. drive for me from Toronto. Have lots of fun and I am looking forward to seeing lots of pics.

Hi Dani,

Your Lizzie Kate flip its are
grand, and I love the blue thread
coloured used to stitch Encourage.
Do you plan to frame this when it's
done, or make something out of it
like a bell pull?

Wish I could be there for your
stitcher's gathering. Sounds like
it's going to be a lot of fun, and
it'd be great to meet you all in
person.

Have a grand time! CHeers!

Love the flip its but they crack me up --- "ug" -- as a statement of mood it summarizes far too many of my days! :)

The flips are coming along so well...I hear from Ann the chart we ordered and the thread is in for the Christmas one...I wasn't sure if you were getting yours direct from Lizzie Kate.
The colours are so pretty I saw them on Thursday. We will be picking it up next week.
See you Saturday with bells on and stitching in hand.
I'm bringing my whole bag don't know what I'll work on. hmmmm MG is my Sat. Stitch day.

Gosh, I wish it was this time 2 months ago that you all got together because I was in Ottawa then! The stitching with charm looks good. I'm half way through 'encourage' today & will have it finished before bedtime.
