Ooops Behind on SBQ's

I've been going through the folder where I've been storing the SBQ questions and boy... I'm behind!

Here's one from July 19th!

Q : Which project (finished or in progress) are you most proud of? Explain why.

A : I think that's a simple answer.... Peacock Tapestry by Teresa Wentzler!

Why? Because its big, daunting, colourful, full of blends, quarter stitches... pear leaves need I say more????
I've made good progress on my model today, I'm looking forward to finishing it and getting back to The Castle.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone whose joined up so enthusiastically for the Snowbird's SAL blog! Kathy and I are overwhelmed and never imagined it would grow this big or grow this fast! More stitchers are always welcome!

Your peacock tapesty is gorgeous.

When I answered that question mine was a TW too. Mine is The Castle and for all the same reasons you mentions (except no pear leaves).

Hi Dani,

It's Sunday, so I should be doing housework and laundry. Instead I'm reading blogs and catching up on my commenting. Naughty. But honestly, which would you rather be doing?

Sorry to hear that you've been suffering from a cold. Hope that the worst is over, and it's not one of those that likes to overstay it's welcome.

I'm looking at the Teresa Wentzler Peacock piece that you did and am feeling quite humble. What an incredible, delicate design. It looks huge! How long did this one take you to do?

Hope you are enjoying the model that you're stitching right now. Do you find it difficult to stitch something that strictly speaking you didn't choose to stitch because you liked it? I'm not sure if I could do that. But I think it's cool that someone obviously thought so highly of your stitching prowess that they would ask you to stitch something so important for them.

Your Sweetheart Tree RR turned out beautifully. What lovely designs your stitcher's chose. Very dainty and a nice range of colour choices too.

The long weekend away with Todd seems like a great idea to me. My DH and I made this same tour a few years ago with his car club. We were staying in Perth, and drove to the cruise docks in our old cars. It was a rainy day as I recall but we settled in the boat, and had a good time watch the beautiful scenery floating by, and listening to the interesting commentary by the tour guide on board. We didn't stop on Heart Island unfortunately,
but someday I'd like to go back and take the tour. It looks fascinating.

Hope you're feeling better soon Dani. CHeers!
